In the language of flowers: Jonquil means 'Love Me, Affection Returned, Desire, Sympathy, Desire for Affection Returned'
(Marco POV)
Marco was growing more frustrated as more time passes. First of: he's glad he came by your shop at the time he came. Who knew that out of all the people you could have a bad running it would've been with Eustass Kid. 'The old man wasn't kidding when he said it was a bad part of town. Better keep an eye out.' He thought, his eyes landing at the girl that was reprimanding Thatch in the kitchen for playing a small prank to her. He let out a soft chuckle, this girl was going to drive him crazy.Marco sighed. He was getting really involved with you and it's only been three months. His brothers clearly liked you, his father gave him a wink and said that he'd like to see her more often in the 5 minutes she spent with him. Now he was entertained with how her little face was covered in flour, full of concentration as she prepared what looked like pie crust as Thatch prepared the food. When he held your face in his hands it felt like they fitted perfect, when he held your hand on the ride it gave him butterflies. When he saw you blush, he wants to make you blush harder with the things he's been wanting to do to you in a while. Man, you were so cute it was driving him nuts.
"Hey, Marco? Why are you staring at (Y/N)? You've been like that for the past 5 minutes" Luffy brought him from his little daydream with a pout. Marco sighed and ruffled his hair. Luffy had a girlfriend but he wasn't too fond of her.
Hancock was scary when she was jealous. Good thing Pops likes her because it would've been rather messy if he didn't. Speaking of which- "Hey, where's Hancock-yoi?" He said as he sat down on the kitchen stool and Luffy shrugged. "She said she's coming tomorrow. She has a business meeting with Crocodile." Luffy said with a little bit of spite in his voice. 'Good to know you're not always cheery, kiddo.' Marco thought with a grin, he ruffled his hair and serve himself and the current cooks a drink. This weekend was going to be too long to be sober.
But first he'd need to talk to you about a few things before it's over. If he wanted to keep being involved with you he'd have to get some things straightened before they turned into a mess.
(Y/n) POV
You were having a blast. After your talk with Newgate (he insists you call him Pops now) the house feels different. The brothers were in even more friendly, when Sabo and Koala met you they invaded you with questions about your job out of pure curiosity. Even exchanging tips and tricks for plant life (which They appreciated greatly).
Dinner was smooth sailing as well, cooking with Thatch was an experience and Marco giving the both of you drinks made it even funny. You had to ask him to stop cause if you kept drinking, you'd face plant during dinner. He just laughed and said he wanted to see that one day.
When it was time to eat you understood what Edward said. They allowed the girls pick their share first and the moment you sat down with your plate: all hell broke loose.
Luffy stuffed his face with food that wasn't even on his plate, Ace was inhaling every bit he could while Sabo tried to be civil and tell them to get a grip and table manners because there were ladies present and they should act like gentlemen. Marco and Koala sat on either side of you and the three of you just spectated.
"Want to play a bet?" Marco whispered, and you perked up.
"Sure. What's up?" You asked in a hushed tone and leaned to him a little bit to hear him better.
