1 where it all started

(Emily's sight)
I sat in my chair during the briefingroom. I looked through the window and my first look was at Reid. He was also sitting in his chair with a book on his right hand. He didn't look at the book. He looked up at Luke, who was standing on his left. Luke showed something on his phone and Reid started laughing. It was probably a picture of his dog doing something strange. Penelope walked across the room and saw Luke and Spencer. She started smiling and walked up to her. Penelope's hand touched Luke's shoulder, he turned and showed her his cell phone. Her smile got bigger and she looked so happy. While looking at my team, I didn't notice JJ was walking into the room.

"Why are you smiling?"

She startled me for a second, but then I smiled.

"Hey babe! I thought you wanna hang out with Henry and Michael today?"

JJ walked up to me and gave me a kiss.

"You forgot your phone"

She took my cell phone out of her jacket pocket and put it on the table.

"It's just a phone!"

"No! It's not just a phone!This is why we are together! Always take the phone with me so I can call you whenever I have to."

JJ was right. This phone is the reason we have been happy together for over 2 years.

*flashback*

2 1/2 years ago we had a difficult case in Miami. We were all pretty battered, but JJ was particularly battered. She was sitting at the other end of the jet and looking dreamily through the window. I got up and went to her. She noticed me but quickly averted her gaze from me. I sat on the chair next to her and took her hand. She looked out for a few seconds before she looked at me.

"Is everything ok?"

I asked her. She looked down at my hand which was clutching hers. She let go of my hand and lay it on her lap.

"Will and I have decided that we are going to get a divorce."

I was a little shocked.

"Why, what happened?"

I looked JJ in the face and waited for an answer. Her gaze slowly moved to me.

"I lost my feelings for him over time."

I was so shocked that I thought my heart would stop! I tried to control my breathing and completely forgot that JJ was looking at me the whole time.

"Why haven't you told me about it yet?"

I was still shocked like I haven't been in a long time.

"I feel like a young person in love who doesn't know where her head is. I've lost my feelings for Will and those for someone else have gotten stronger. Will is a great man and doesn't deserve that I lie to him."

1000 thoughts went through my head who this other person could be. My first thought was Reid. A handsome, intelligent young man. He's also good with children. But she hadn't said anything about it.

"Who is this other person?"

My question was clear and easy to understand, but JJ looked at me as if I had spoken a completely different language. After a few seconds she gave me an answer.

"I'll tell you a different time."

She later told the others too. They were just as shocked as I was but they supported them. We didn't say a word about Will for the rest of the day. I was a little overwhelmed with the whole situation because I had feelings for JJ for a long time. We hardly spoke to each other for 2 weeks. I went home after a long Friday. I closed the door behind me and put my bag on the closet. The team had Saturday off just like me. I was walking towards the sofa when my cell phone rings. Well, I just thought to myself. Hopefully this is not a new case. I turned and walked slowly towards the bag. I dug my cell phone out of my pocket and looked at the display. "JJ" Why is JJ calling me. I briefly considered whether I should just put my cell phone down again, but I decided to answer it.

"Special Agent Emily Prentiss."

"This is JJ. Are you at home?"

I was amazed for a moment.

"Where else should I be after such a long day?"

I laughed but JJ didn't.

"I'll be with you in a moment."

Then she hung up. How would she be right there? Why does she want to come over. I put my phone away. I went into the bedroom to put on more comfortable clothes. I had just put on my sweatpants and my top when the doorbell rang. I walked quickly through my living room towards the door. I opened it and, as expected, saw JJ. She looked at me briefly, but shortly afterwards walked past me into my living room and looked at me. I was a little confused. I closed the door and walked slowly towards her. As I went to her, I noticed that she was very nervous. But why? I stop briefly in front of her.

"JJ is everything ok?"

She was still very nervous.

"I have to tell you something, Emily!"

Now I was scared.
"Yes, ok tell"

I tried to look relaxed, but I don't succeed so well.

"Do you remember the people I developed feelings for you?"

Now I was even more scared.

"Yes of course. What about this person?"

My first thought was of course Reid. She looked deep into my eyes and I took her hand. They were sweaty in cold sweat. Why was she afraid?

"Emily. You are this person! I fell in love with you. I don't know how or why, but these feelings are incredibly strong."

Her voice was very emotional. She looked at me confused. My happiness hormones overwhelmed my body out of nowhere. My brain had stopped thinking and my heart was now in power. I put my left hand on her neck and came closer. I looked deep into her eyes and started smiling. She stroked my hair. I put my other hand on her hip and pulled her close to me. Our lips touched and my heart exploded in my chest. I kissed her slowly. Her arms were now around my neck and mine around her waist. I noticed her odor more intensely than ever before. She rested her head on my shoulder and clutched my torso. I kissed her neck and she started scratching my back. I picked her up and headed for the sofa. She started to scratch my back under my top. I lay her on the sofa and leaned over her. She pulled my top over my head and looked at my body. I began to kiss her intensely and took off her top. She pulled me close and kissed my neck. But she slowed down and just looked at me. I sat up and pulled her up.

"Emily"

she took a deep breath

"This is wonderful, you are wonderful, but we should take it easy."

I could understand the reason completely. I gave her a kiss on the cheek

"you're right."

I got up and got chips, a blanket, and the remote control. I laid the blanket over both of us and took her in my arms. She looked at me and stroked my cheek

"Your skin is so soft."

I had never seen it that way, but I was happy about the compliment. I gave her a kiss and we let the evening end together on my sofa until my eyes fell.
