*flashback*
"Dear Everybody that knows me:
I'm tired. I've tried. Multiple times. He just won't stop. The amount of bruises, cuts and scars can't even begin to describe how much it hurts. And all I want to be is free. Free from the abuse, free from the trauma, free from everything. That's why I have done this. Decided to end it all. Done. I'm free."
Liam starts to sob as he closes the note he found in her pocket. He was in the waiting room waiting for the results to whether she made it or not. He sat with her older brother, who was emotionally numb. He didn't know what to say or do. He blamed this entire thing on himself not being able to save her from him. A crying Liam looks up to see the doctor entering the waiting room ready to deliver the news.
She made it, just in a coma state. The doctor estimated around 1-2 months. And so every single day, whenever he was free, Liam would go to visit his best friend in the hospital. Until the day of his birthday, before the big party for his 16th was about to start, he decided to visit her since it was the 5th month and the doctors said that she would most likely never wake to see dawn again. He decides to go visit her one last time. He sees her lying there. Holding her hand. And squeezing it, "this is the final time, my final goodbye to you Val, I'll miss you, I hope to see you again in another life." As he finishes, he feels a light squeeze coming from the hand he was holding. Valentina's hand.
She softly whispers, "w-what other life? I'm right here." Liam cannot believe his ears as he excitedly jumps up and calls the doctors in. The doctors and nurse were as surprised as he was. Congratulating her for waking up after 5 months. Of course, Liam cancels his birthday just to spend the day with her making sure she got out okay. She was perfectly fine and was able to come out the exact same day.
Valentina goes to Liams house because Liam offered and rested. Liam was just happy to have her back. Not ready for the future he had with her.
