Sharon's Pov

I smiled to myself as I watched the blonde from a distance. I let out a sigh, I didn't know I was holding in, and marched across the freshly cut lawn to the bench by the lake. I sat down and faced the blonde.
"Hi." The blonde turned to face me and let out a gasp.
"Oh, um hi." She stuttered as I raised my brow.
"How are you?"
"I've got to go."
"Why?"
"I-I'm meant to be meeting someone."
"Yeah...me." The blonde stared at me for a few seconds before it sunk in and something clicked inside her head.
"This must be some fucking joke."
"It's not, i'm sorry I didn't say anything."
"You let me go on about it."
"I'm sorry, please don't hate me."
"It's too late for that."
"Please, you said we'd still be friends."
"Things change, I can't believe this, i'm going back to school."
"Can I at least know your name?"
"Alaska but I don't see why you care." Alaska flicked her wig  over her shoulder, grabbed her bag and headed back towards the school. I heard her muttering to herself but only catching the last part, "I can't be dealing with this."
I waited a few minutes before heading back myself. I was greeted at the smoking area by Katya.
"So how'd it go?"
"Give me a cigarette." Katya offered me the box and I lit the cigarette before taking a drag. "She hates me."
"Why?"
"I lied to her."
"What did you say this time?"
"She has a crush on me and I let her go on about it just saying I was friends with Sharon Needles and she told me that the whole school is terrified of me, it's just so messed up now."
"Everyone is scared of you?"
"Apparently." I said as I exhaled.
"Just keep trying, she'll forgive you eventually."
"What happens if she doesn't and i'm just meant to give up?"
"I've never seen you give up on anything."
"I know but I feel like this is something I need to give up on."
"Just shut up, we'll go find Trixie and she'll tell you to stop being a stupid bitch."
"I'm not being stupid."
"You are." I let Katya drag me by the arm to the dinner hall where I collapsed onto a bench next to trixie.
"How was it?"
"Don't talk about it."
"What?"
"She hates Sharon." Katya explained as she sat opposite us.
"Why?"
"Long story but Sharon is being a stupid bitch about it and wants to give up." Katya replied as she grabbed some fried.
"You've never given up on anything."
"Told her that."
"You can tell you have a crush on her." Trixie smirked as I rested my head on the table.
"I do not."
"Sharon, it's obvious."
"Is it?" Katya asked with a mouthful of fries.
"Yes it is, the way Sharon spoke about her before they even met was pretty clear, just because you're blind Kat, doesn't mean everyone else is."
"Alright alright."
"She just seems to get me and she's really nice and she listens."
"Exactly, you don't want to let someone like that get away."

(THE NEXT DAY)

I spotted Alaska heading down the corridor to the bathrooms. She stopped outside, hugged each of her friends before disappearing inside. I watched her friends walk away laughing together before following her inside.
"Alaska?" She turned away from the mirror to face me.
"Can you please stop stalking me."
"I'm not stalking you."
"Well you followed me all evening yesterday after dinner and now today."
"I don't want you to be angry with me for not telling you."
"Well I am pissed."
"Why?"
"One I hate liars and two you embarrassed me, you let me go on about my crush, you obviously just loved the attention."
"No, it wasn't like that."
"Sure."
"Well you didn't tell me it was your party, you let me say you were cute."
"What did you expect me to say?"
"I don't know."
"Just think we kissed at that party which means I was just someone you used in your stupid bet."
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah well just leave me alone." Alaska said coldly as she put her makeup back in her bag.
"Who are you going to the dance with this evening?"
"It's got nothing to do with you." She replied leaving me stood staring after her once again.
"She didn't look happy." Trixie said as she came into the bathroom and pulled me into a hug.
"I don't know what to do, Kat says I need to keep trying and ask her to the dance but I don't know."
"Maybe give her some space and time to process everything."
"I don't have time Trix, I only have this evening to make it up to her."
"Um we'll think of something, don't worry."
"I'm gonna give up."
"Sharon Needles giving up, that's a first."
"What?"
"What was it you told me?"
"I don't know."
"Only pussy's give up."
"Then i'm a pussy."
"No, you're not so i'm going to help you think of a plan."
"Thanks Trix."
"It's what friends are for."
"We're friends?"
"Of course."
"Can we go into town?"
"We have to start getting ready for the dance."
"I don't want to, I don't want to go, I want to go and buy some alcohol and drown my sorrows."
"Sharon, seriously?"
"What?"
"Just come on and let me do your makeup and stop being a drama Queen."
"Fine but I still want alcohol."
"Kat has some left."

I walked back to the dormitory with my arm linked through Trixie's.
"What are you to laughing about?" Katya asked as she turned away from the mirror with half her face done.
I looked at Trixie and we both started laughing again.
"Nothing."
