𝟎𝟎𝟎. 𝐈𝐕𝐘 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐀 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍 hated feeling things. She hated knowing that out there was someone who could melt her isolated, deranged heart. She hated that the one person who could do that, was someone she had to see every summer. She hated that this person was two years younger than her. She hated that his name was Jeremiah fisher. Every summer, the Austin family would go to cousin's beach, which was kind of the one thing Ivy looked forward to since she was in diapers. Her family, along with the Conklin family would all plan to go to cousins beach every summer, usually it would be the kids and the moms (just the way they liked it) the dads would be off on some kind of business trip. Jeremiah fisher was one out of the two boys that Susannah fisher had given birth to. He was annoying, kind, hot, and felt like forbidden fruit to Ivy because of how young he was compared to her, and yeah two years wasn't a lot, but to Ivy it felt like an inappropriate age gap, which is why she chose to ignore the obvious crush that he had on her. No one else would acknowledge this interaction between the fisher boy and the Austin girl, but it also wasn't a secret that Jeremiah would do quite literally anything for her. After Ivy turned 18, she had missed going to cousin's beach with her family because she was stressing herself on which college, she would apply to without being too far from home, she chose Yale, which was still extremely far, but not too far. Ivy had a passion for wanting to become a doctor, specifically a neurosurgeon and she didn't care how long it would take, determined was something that Ivy had been since she graduated with top 10% of students with GPAs from 3.8 to 3.9 in her class. Ivy took a gap year to figure it all out before wanting to go back into a school again, plus she found applying to college after a gap year would put her at a major advantage because she'd be able to have a lot more study time. When the summertime finally rolls in, Ivy knew this summer was going to be different, she wasn't sure how, but she definitely knew it'd be epic ── or so she hoped
