Chapter 1-
The cold wet ground sends shivers down my back. The rain pelting down on my skin causes me to shake uncontrollably. I truly am living my nightmare. I'm cold, alone, and most of all hopeless. I don't have anything, not anymore at least... In a matter of seconds my life was taken away from me, and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.
All I can hear around me is the familiar sounds of rain hitting the sidewalk, and the busy traffic flowing through this busy city. This is it, this is how I die, alone, cold, and pathetic. I never thought my life would end up like this, I didn't think that I would end up on the street with no one to depend on but myself. I'm an eighteen year old girl, my only worries should be what outfit I'm wearing tomorrow, not when will my next meal be?
I collapse on the side of the nearest building, it's night no one will come past here, so I should be safe for tonight, that's if I even wake up to live another day. I don't remember the last time I ate. How could I? They left me here, beat up, with no money, and nothing to eat.
I slowly close my eyes begging that when I wake, this will all have been my biggest nightmare, and in reality my life is exactly how it was two weeks ago...

Liam's POV-
"That was sick! I love it here, I don't ever want to leave!" Harry yells out into the rain with his cheeky grin.
We just finished with our biggest concert here in America. Harry and I decided to cool off by walking out in the rain for a bit. We promised not to travel off too far so they can easily find us if needed. The streets are absolutely beautiful in the rain. New York is so beautiful, but at night there is something special about it. The lights fill the sky, the only noise you can hear is the rain and traffic.
I laugh at how ridiculous Harry looks. He's right though, I don't ever want to leave here.
"Should we head back to the hotel?" I ask him getting worried about the time. He looks up at the sky, his normally fluffy flowing curls are drenched and dripping into his eyes.
"Let's just walk past a few more building's then we can head back," he tells me and I nod, that's reasonable enough, and in all honestly I don't really want to leave this place either.
After walking past a few more buildings we are about to turn around, but then we hear an ear piercing screech. Harry and I both look at each other before running towards the noise.
"Stop! I don't have money! I have nothing!" the sound of a girls desperate pleads sends chills down my spine. Then I finally see it, on the side of the building there is a man hovering over a frail teenage girl fighting her for her for a jacket.
"Hey! You heard her, stop!" I yell to the man, but at the sound of my voice the girl looks up shocked and lets go of her jacket. The man takes the opportunity to strip it from her grip and run down the alley.
The girl sits there shivering curled up into a ball. She shakes even more as she sobs into her arms. I look over at Harry wondering how he is taking this all in. He looks at the girl worried. He turns towards me and nods his head, silently telling me we have to do something. I already knew that.
I take small gentle steps towards her, afraid if I move too fast she might run off or be frightened.
"Hey," I whisper putting my hand onto her cold wet arm. She flinches back looking me in the eye.
"Please, don't hurt me," she whispers through her sobs. My heart breaks at that. What happened to this poor girl? How long has she been out here? Questions spin through my mind, but I know one thing is for sure. I'm helping her.
