Coffee

You had been working at the bau for a while now and became great friends with all of your team members, but of course that one brown haired genius seemed to have .....something against you. You had no clue what though you couldn't recall doing or saying anything that could have rubbed him the wrong way. You seemed to always get him over his little grudge against you when you brought him coffee though. Which is what you had done this morning...

You walked through the tall glass doors of the bau holding hot coffees for the whole team as soon as you walked in jj walked up to you "y/n we have another case I can already tell it's gonna be a long one" she said. As upset as she sounded you knew she loved her job even thought it was a bit sad. You walked with her to the meeting room placing the coffees on the table and began handing them out to everyone they all thanked you and spencer seemed extra happy today considering your job. You handed him his coffee asking "what's with you today you seem so...happy?" He responded after a brief second " no reason y/n... guess I just woke up on the right side of the bed" you giggle and walk away and sat down getting ready for the case briefing.

Hotch walked in a few minutes later. The case was about a missing 14 year old girl who got kidnaped walking home from school. After 20 minutes hotch wrapped up the meeting "wheels up in 30" he said walking out the door. Everyone went to go gather their things to get ready to go. You stopped at your desk to gather you're things including your go- bag when your phone buzzed. It was an text from your mom.

MOM: hi sweetie, I know this is out of the blue but Im running a fever and don't feel well and well... I had a trip planned for myself to Hawaii. I felt I needed a vacation after your dad and i's divorce and I know how stressful your job is and I want you to take my ticket since I can't go....

You were in shock , after all your mom offered you a free ticket to Hawaii. What you didn't seem to notice was Spencer looking at you while you kept rereading the message. "Are you ok y/n?" He said catching you off guard. " ya it's just my mom" you reply "oh is she ok?"  You considered it a bit odd he asked how your mom was considering he doesn't ever ask you that and if he does it's very rarely.

"Ya she's ok.. well I guess not she got the flu so she has to skip her vacation." You say in response "oh that sucks I hope she feels better... see you on the jet y/n" he says " ya see ya" you say watching him walk out the doors of the bau. You always found him a little attractive but you never told him that. Especially considering the fact he has something against you.

You completely forgot what your mom had said to you regarding the trip until your phone buzzes agian.

MOM: do you want my ticket?

YOU:  I'll have to talk to my boss but of course!

You grabbed your bag and walked out of the bau to go board the jet with your team. A wide smile crossed you face trying not to think of how you would feel if you couldn't go.
