You, Emily, and Hotch were all headed to the police station. You couldn't stop thinking about why spence had suddenly started to talk to you. You weren't complaining. No not at all, you were just....confused.

Did he have feelings for you? No, he's probably sorry for being mean to me this whole time. Right.....?

"Hello, earth to y/n?" said emily waving her hand back and forth in front of your face. What the hell y/n! Why were you zoning out so much god! "we were talking about our plans for next weekend." emily said "do you have any y/n?"

"oh yeah, well i meant to ask you something earlier hotch" you say " what y/n?" he says sarcastically and cracking a slight smile. " well my mom got the flu and she can't go on her vacation..... and she offered me her ticket and well-" you get interrupted by hotch " dr. reid is taking leave to so we'll be out two agents" he says. "so is that a yes?!" you say smiling. "yes... but you have to bring me something back from wherever you go though" "oh my goodness thank you so much!!!" you say back. you wanted to give him a hug right there but he was driving.

You arrived at the police station and met with the parents of Katherine. They said they got a ransom call but they weren't allowed to talk to her. So, you still had no proof that she was alive. The rest of the team all came to the station and you set up a phone tracking system just in case they called again.

Spencer came up you and asked how the interview went with the parents. You tell him it went well and that you thought they had nothing to do with it. "oh good" he says "has the team found out anything else about her abduction?" you ask him " not much" he says in response sounding a little disappointed. "hey spence" you say noticing a small smile appear on his face because you called him by that nickname. " why have you never liked me?" you say instantly realizing how that could have sounded. " i mean like as a friend!" you blurt out a couple people heard you say that and they turn their head but then continue what they were doing.

Spencer smiles at you "i don't know i guess i just have a hard time trusting people. I feel like they always leave me." you could see that his mood instantly changed. he seemed sad which hurt you on the inside. "before rossi there was gideon and well... he was like a father figure for me and then he just...left" you look deep into his eyes trying to display how you felt bad because you knew he wasn't done and you didn't want to interrupt. " and well two years ago....he was murdered in his home" you could see the tears forming in his eyes as he said those words to you.

You pull him into a tight hug. He sighs when you hold him, then you felt him relax. You let go and look back into his eyes " i guess i just want to say i'm sorry. I hope i can make it up to you. I never meant to be rude or give you the could shoulder. I guess i just thought you would leave to" " oh spence, don't worry about me i don't plane on leaving you or the team anytime soon." you say back. "thanks daisy" he says. You could feel a slight blush form on your cheeks from the cute nickname he just called you. Just then jj came up to you. " he's calling agian" she said "we think we can get to learn about him more through this call. We're all meeting in the office hurry." she finishes and walks away. "let's catch this son of a bitch" you say smiling and walking away following jj. You knew spencer was looking at you as you walked away which made you nervous. Of course your tripped. 'You nervous bitch' you thought to yourself. Well at least you didn't fall....

you walk to the office/workspace you all were given and spencer walks in behind you. You see the parents at the table with the phone on speaker. The machine trying to track the call. "where is our daughter!" the dad yells in the phone. Which only triggers the unsub causing him to say " doesn't matter you won't see her until she's dead" he hangs up. Causing the mother to burst into tears and run out of the room and the dad following.

the rest of you stayed in the room tying to figure out more about him. Just when he called again....By him calling showed he was desperate and wanted attention from law enforcement. Hotch answered the phone turning it on speaker " why are you doing this" his voice showing no emotion whatsoever. "why not?" "because you are hurting an innocent girl she's only 14." hotch said in response. "if you want her back meet me at the abandoned Chinese restaurant on 2nd at 9:25 tonight." you checked the clock realizing it was already 8:00 pm. " and send that pretty agent of yours...... agent y/l/n alone if i see anyone else i kill Katherine don't be late." the unsub said very clearly . you began to feel sick considering he found you attractive. just then the call ended.

you look at hotch and say " i'll do it." "agent i can't let you do that" he says back. "sir, all do respect but i don't think we have any other way of getting katherine back alive" morgan said. "fine, but morgan and dr. reid are going with" he said. " but what if he sees us" reid said. " you'll be parked around the block for backup" hotch directed.

You all used the minimal time you had to for a plan for both the best and worst case scenarios. When the clock reached 9:15 you decided to get ready to drive over considering you didn't want to be late considering what could possibly happen. The drive over you felt nervous and sick to your stomach you had on your bullet proof vest just in case anything happened. Morgan and Reid left a little before you to make sure it didn't seem to suspicious. Everyone was on edge nobody wanted you to get hurt. You had been in the field but never like this....by yourself. At least that's what it felt like.
