Chapter Five: The Rescue

"I sense Count Dooku." The taller, younger Jedi stated to his partner.

"And I sense a trap...." The younger Jedi glanced at the other

"Next move?" He asked, his eyebrows raised. The elder gave a short smile and began to walk.

"Spring the trap."

"Well that all went well..." Anakin Skywalker thought to himself here he was hanging for dear life to a simple bunch of electrical cords. His former Master hanging limply from his back having been knocked out by the late Count Dooku. Clutching to his leg was a rather frantic Chancellor... Little did Anakin know how much he was regretting having not figured out a safer way for the young Jedi to rescue him

Obi-Wan stirred and nearly jumped out of his grip as he opened his eyes to the endless abyss that was the elevator shaft.

"Easy! We're in a bit of a situation here!" Anakin half shouted, half soothed, as Obi-Wan twisted around to be facing the proper direction.

"Did I miss something?" He asked, his humor trying to mask the fact he was white knuckling Anakin's shoulder. The rumbling that came a few moments later wasn't helping anything either.

Anakin tried to get Artoo to shut it down, but Obi-Wan knew he'd never bypass the system in time.

"Too late, jump!" He ordered, pushing off Anakin at the same time he let go of the cords. A few moments later they pulled out their lines, and tossed them over an extended pipe. They swung through an open doorway seconds before the elevator barrled past them.

The three men groaned and picked themselves off the floor, the Chancellor looked worse for wear, and more than a little frazzled.

"Let's see if we can find something in the hanger bay that's still flyable." Obi-Wan suggested Anakin nodded and was already begining to follow him when Palpatine spoke up.

"But what about the Queen, surely we're not going to leave her behind!" He said, looking at the two in an almost shocked manner. This surprised Anakin somewhat, after all this was the same man that was urging him to leave Obi-Wan behind just minutes before.

"Who?" Obi-Wan asked, walking back towards the Chancellor, his arms crossed.

"Queen Elsa of Arendelle, she and I were in a meeting when the attack began, they took her prisoner too. I overheard the Sith mention somthing about the short term holding cells." Palpatine explaind, smoothing his tunic down, and moreover straightening himself up.

Both Jedi glanced at each other, sharing silent communitcation for a moment. With a short nod to each other they began walking the opposite direction they had been.

"The cell block will be down this corridor about a hundred yards and to the right." Anakin announced, concentration and controlled anger clear on his face.

The found the cell with little trouble, the halls were basically clear, no doubt all able droids frantically trying to keep the ship together. The two Jedi used their senses to seach for any unusual pressences. It was Anakin that finally felt the difference, and stalked confidently over to the door. Slapping the keypad the door slid open to reveal Queen Elsa hanging in the center of the room by her arms.

The two rushed in, and while Anakin released the energy cuffs Obi-Wan stood underneath and caught Elsa as she slumped forward.

"Are you alright you're Highness?" Obi-Wan asked, noting her bruised appearence. Elsa nodded her head sligthttly unable to speak for the moment.

"We need to move." Anakin said, already starting for the door. Obi-Wan nodded his head and placed Elsa's arm around his neck and supported her out of the cell. The four then began their way back to the hanger bay. Obi-Wan thought it was odd that they had yet to run into any droids, not so much as a mouse droid hadd crossed their path.
