This story takes place in the Half-Blood Prince time era. Enjoy!

The platform was quite crowded seeing as though it was the day that all students would be returning back to Hogwarts. Parents could be spotted, with teary eyes, running around ,pursuing their children onto the train ,passing luggage and waving at the opened windows.
Regardless the fact that they were going back to school, not one student was seen with a frown on their face. On the contrary, they were beaming with happiness, eagerly waiting for the long journey to begin.
When everybody said their final goodbyes and the clock ticked 11, the Hogwarts Express started making its way to the magical school leaving a trail of smoke behind.

As Draco was getting settled in his compartment someone gently knocked on the compartment door. Both Pansy and Blaise, who were also seated in the same compartment, whipped their heads to the door then to Draco, who shrugged. After another knock, Draco spoke up "Come in".
To their surprise, an unknown girl with dirty blonde hair looked around and smiled at them, her grin not quite reaching her eyes. They had never seen this girl before meaning that, perhaps, she was new.

"Excuse me," said the mysterious girl, in a smooth voice "Could I possibly stay in your compartment? Everywhere else is full"
It was almost enjoyable to listen to her voice and focus on her wide, shiny eyes which greatly represented green orbs. But Draco hadn't noticed the girls physical appearance, like her waist long hair or her rosy cheeks, but was rather intensively staring at her, looking as though he was trying to see right through her head. He suddenly felt petrified, paralyzed in place, and had a look as if he  was about to vomit, his already pale face turning whiter. Draco tried to speak, to say something, anything, but only managed to make strange choking noises.
"Can I come in?" The girl asked, now looking straight at the blonde boy.
"Sure" whisper Draco so quietly that he thought the girl hadn't heard his response but, after a moment he was proven wrong as she murmured a quick "Thanks" and took a seat beside him. Even Pansy, who was eyeing the girl in suspicion, stared at him and raised her eyebrows.
Draco was taken aback but his reply, immediately regretted his on-the-spot-decision and was finding it difficult not to gape at the girl.

"I'm Sabrina, by the way," the girl said suddenly "Sabrina Hamitt"
However, she didn't need to be introduced to Draco, as he, after finally collecting himself and straightening up, said through a breath "You," the shock still visible on his, now frowning face "What are you doing here?"
Sabrina, who had an intrigued but still calm expression, glanced at Pansy and Blaise before simply saying "I was sent here"
"What do you mean, you were sent here? Draco snapped, glaring "I don't want help! I don't need help!"
Pansy and Blaise looked at eachother, both sharing the same puzzled look .
"It wasn't my choice, Malfoy," said Sabrina slowly, positively as irritated as the boys sitting next to her "And would you be so kind and not get yourself into trouble before we even arrive?" she added, in a fake sweet voice, pointing her head towards the two confused students in front of them.
"They know" said Draco shortly after he understood what she was referring to. Sabrina merely shrugged, not concerned nor interested, and  turned to the window.
The train was passing a dull and utterly lifeless field.
"This is Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson" Draco pointed to his friends after some silence. Blaise, a handsome boy, gave the girl a small, polite smile and Pansy, a dark haired girl, slightly rolled her eyes.
An awkward silence took over the four of them.
"Wait," Blaise broke the silence "how do you know eachother?" he said in a slow, cautious voice.
Draco looked at Sabrina, who was already staring at him, her once bright and glittery eyes, suddenly turned dark and emotionless.
"My parents and the Hamitts, her parents, have been close friends for years,"said Draco "but we only met this summer. Well, actually, I reckon we've probably met as babies but I'm sure neither of us remember.And... umm... she's like me" he looked at the ground.
Silence. Pansy and Blaise were surprised and also a little intimidated by what they had heard, while Sabrina looked deep in thought, apparently finding interest in the view outside again.
Another painfully uncomfortable silence took place.

"So, you're new here then, huh?" Blaise finally said, bringing back some cheerfulness into the room with his pleasing voice.
"Yeah" the girl answered, taking her eyes off the window.
"Where did you use to go to school?" the boy asked curiously.
"Beaxhoutons. I was born in England but I spent the first 15 years of my life in France"
"Oh really," Blaise chuckled "you don't have a French accent thought"
Sabrina smiled."English is my first language, French is my second. I was raised in a house that only spoke English. Maybe that's why."
"I've always wanted to be bilingual," Blaise said, leaning in his seat. "but I don't think I'm smart enough for that" he added in after thought. The two of the laughed slightly and Draco only smirked.

While the three passengers engaged in a conversation, Pansy stayed quiet the whole ride, occasionally glancing at Draco and throwing dirty looks at Sabrina. They all, however, avoided talking about the fact that Sabrina and Draco were Death Eaters or about anything related to the Dark Lord or his followers.
Even though there was some tension between Draco and Sabrina, which Blaise found really strange and in some moments annoying, their conversation went smoothly and enjoyably, while they talked about many different topics.
