Chapter two // Her first day at Hogwarts

As the train was coming to a stop, the four students started exiting their compartment.
"You'll be sorted into a house tonight" Blaise told Sabrina when they finally got out of the train.
"So I've heard," she said "What do you think, which house will I be put in?"
"Hopefully Slytherin," said Draco, who suddenly came into view "Because it's the best house" he awkwardly added, as the girl said nothing. Blaise shook his head in agreement and, with that, they joined the other students making their way to the carriages.

When they arrived to the castle, which was as magical as ever, an older woman came up to them.
"Welcome back for another year at Hogwarts. Now if you would follow me" she said as she started walking in the direction of the Great Hall. Everyone did what they were told and followed her.
"That's McGonagall - head of Gryffindor" Blaise whispered to Sabrina. The girl nodded, signalling that she understood.
"That's Dumbledore, isn't it?" Sabrina asked, after a moment, looking at the headmaster who was cheerfully smiling at all of the students.
"Yeah" said Draco, sounding uninterested. She looked at the blonde boy and then back at the headmaster. As everyone sat down at their tables, including Sabrina who followed her three Slytherin acquaintances, Dumbledore stood up and cleared his throat. The room went quiet.
"Welcome back students," he started "I hope everybody spent their summer break with loved ones, filled with joy and happiness and most importantly... love. I also hope that you have had enough time to enjoy yourselves and prepare for another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry"
Everyone clapped except some grumpy Slytherins, including Darco and Pansy who looked bored.
"Before the feast can begin, as you know, the sorting ceremony must take place," said Dumbledore after the clapping stopped. "This year, however, we have an older new student who will be sorted first"
All heads turned and looked around in confusion.
"Miss Hamitt, would you come up here" the headmaster said as he looked straight at Sabrina.
She got up from the table, catching everyone's attention, and made her way to the front. Unfortunately, she received a couple of nasty looks and whispers from some of the students, guessing, only because she was seated at the Slytherin table.
The girl was greeted by the same woman from earlier, professor McGonagall, as she sat down on a stool and an old hat was put on her head.
"Oh this one... she's got a lot of potential," the sorting hat thought out loud "You're determined, loyal but also caring and smart and even brave. Hmm... where to put you?" Both, the students and Sabrina, waited inpatiently for the sorting hat's decision. "Better be... SLYTHERIN!" the hat yelled.
The Slytherin table erupted into cheers, welcoming their new member. The girl looked at her newly made friends, Draco and Blaise, who wery standing up and clapping happily. She started walking back but noticed 3 pairs of eyes on her. She then realised who those eyes belonged to - the famous trio, and, on instinct, smiled at them.
When she said down, between Draco and Pansy, she was greeted by a few polite smiles from her fellow Slytherins.
"I knew that you'd be sorted into Slytherin" said Draco and looked at her. A loud cheering sound came from the Ravenclaw table. The anxious-looking first years had already started to get sorted.
"Honestly, I was hoping that the sorting hat would put me here" the girl admitted as she looked back at the blonde boy.
