"So just being associated with you like this, they'll want to kill me?! Why- What kind of history do you guys have?!"

The two women had made it to Phoenix's hotel room, which was a rather swanky place with large windows and fluffy red carpets softer than Rain's bed. White walls seemed to stretch slightly taller than they should, drawing attention to the chandelier hanging from the ceiling, it's many little crystals shimmering in the setting sunlight that shone through the large windows. A small table and chair intricately carved sat just beside the window in the corner of the room, covered with journals Rain assumed were Phoenix's. Her luggage was a mess, spreading over multiple bags each filled with strange items and props. Being a performer really did have it's perks, but that wasn't what Rain was focused on. They had bigger fish to fry. Phoenix sighed, flopping on the pale pink king sized bed and sinking into the sheets kicking off her heels like a child would after they just got home from school. "It's not that complex, just really weird. Promise you won't freak out?"

Rain rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure Phoenix, it's not like I've got anything else to be worried about."

"Good!" Phoenix sat up ignoring Rain's sarcasm, intentionally or not Rain couldn't tell. "By the way, just call me Ava. I feel like we've reached first name basis. Your name is Sunny, correct? I heard Zeta calling you that."

"No, it's Rain. I lied to him about my name." She walked over to the window grabbing the lone chair and swinging it around, taking a seat. "So, story time. What's up with Zeta and the other guy?"

"Good call. Anyway's, before we start you just have to know that I'm immortal, okay?" The blue haired woman rolled over on her stomach on the bed. It was clear that she was the restless type. She looked at Rain expectantly, waiting for a reaction, questions, anything. But the taller woman's face remained stony, if only a small frown much to Phoenix's surprise. "Really? You're just gonna accept that?" Rain chuckled. "No, of course not. I'm open minded, but not ignorant." Ava tilted her head as if she was considering her answer, before accepting and nodding, continuing with her explanation. "We met sometime in the 1960's. They owned a theatre called Magnifique, and I was due to perform there. Obviously it was based in France, hence the name, and it was sooo pretty, I'm still mad they tore it down- I'm getting off track." Ava coughed, continuing on. "So we met there. My show went smoothly, one of the best I'd ever done, and everyone loved it. After I finished, I took some time to myself as I always do. One of my knife tricks had gone wrong and it had somehow ended up in my back, stabbing through my kidney-"

"Wait, so all of your tricks are legit? No fancy effects?" Rain asked with wide eyes.

"Yep! It was a great way to make cash, and super fun. I've had to change names and stuff a few times obviously, but that's not important right now." She rolled onto her back, pulling various pins and a hair tie out of her hair, letting her long hair free fall over the side of the bed. "Anyway's, kidney stabbed. So I had to remove the knife, but before I could Zeta found me with the knife in my back. Normal people would be passed out on the ground, or dead or whatever so Zeta knew something was up. Long story short he found out I was immortal, and they've been chasing me since."

Rain remained silent for a moment chewing on her lip. A lot of things didn't add up, and Ava's credibility currently wasn't stellar. "Why should I believe you? There's a lot of details it feels like you've left out."

"I'll prove it right now." Ava's eyes narrowed as she got up, dashing over to her luggage and rummaging around in a large red suitcase until she found what she was looking for. "Here we are!" Much to Rain's horror and confusion, the performer presented a small syringe filled with liquid. "This is used as Euthanasia. It takes one or two minutes to work on normal people, but in my case, never." "Hey, wait-!" Rain stood up, reaching to take the needle from her hand but it was already too late as the woman rolled up her sleeve and injected the contents into her arm. "By the time this conversation is over, this should have taken effect."
