Lightning struck the ground, jolting the seemingly lifeless Rain awake. She tried sitting up, but quickly found that her wrists and ankles were tethered down to a steel table, and no amount of struggling would set her free. Her breathing was erratic, still in shock from waking up in an unfamiliar place. I can't afford to loose my cool, I can't I can't I can't. Rain had to calm down, but her hearts beats were like that of a dodgy truck: all over the place. Eventually Rain managed to calm her breathing, taking the time to have a proper look at the room she was trapped in.

It was a dimly lit room, the only light source from the small windows dotted around behind her and to her left side. If she kept looking to her left, a bench laden with various knick-knacks and tools lay strewn about, and... was that an eye? A strange yellowed liquid filled a clear mason jar, some kind of indistinguishable sphere floating around inside. Rain looked back at the ceiling, deciding that she had seen enough of this room of horrors. Sadly this only led her to speculate about what was about to happen to her, and the woman was scared shitless. Rain chewed on her lip nervously, her gut churning and her palms sweating. Wasn't it sunny this morning? How long have I been out for? Where is Ava? What's happening?

The gravity of Ava's situation hit Rain like a bullet train, and apparently just in time too as a heavy steel door creaked open to her right. Her mind kicked into overdrive again as the last voice she wanted to hear filled the cold room.

"You're finally awake, you've been out for a while."

Zeta leaned over Rain with that familiar malicious grin, way too close for the woman's liking. "How- how long have I been out for?" Rain was doing a terrible job at hiding her fear, and both of them knew it. This seemed to amuse Zeta, who finally stepped back and headed to the bench on the left. "Just a couple days. We thought we'd accidentally killed you." The man laughed, unsettling Rain even more. The various clinking of tools made her anxiety rise, her feeling of helplessness increasing tenfold.

The man walked back towards her. "Now, I just have a few questions for you. Comply, and nothing bad happens. Don't, and... well you'll find out." He chuckled. "So, I'm assuming Ava informed you about abilities and entities correct?"

Rain nodded. "Y-yeah?"

"So, did she mention specific locations about entities?"

Rain's fear was suddenly and temporarily quelled by confusion. "Er, no?"

Zeta sighed, resting his head in his hand. "Hum, that's a shame-" His hands slammed against the table next to Rain, making her flinch. "Hey, you're not lying right?" Rain shook her head in a panic. "No! I don't know shit!"

"That's a lie." He leaned over Rain's face, she could feel his breathing. "Phoenix had to of told you something. She's been around for thousands of years, of course she'd spill everything at the opportunity." Once again, Rain shook her head. "Look man, I don't know what to tell you but I really don't anything about entities apart from the fact they exist. What else do you want from me?!" The end of her sentence ended in a shout as her frustration finally came through.

Zeta pulled out one of the tools he retrieved earlier that resembled tweezers except instead of pinching it pried apart, each end with strange rounded plates. Rain had no idea what it was for, but she did not like it one bit. She swallowed, Zeta asking his next question. "Where is Ava?"

Rain bit her lip. "You saw where she was last. She's probably moved from her hotel room. Why do think I'd know?" Zeta's smile was slowly disappearing, his frustration also becoming evident. "Both of you know more than you're letting on. If I can't get answers by being nice, I'm afraid I'll have to try other methods." Zeta stood up properly now, resting one gloved hand on the right side of her face, the tool now hovering above her left eye. Rain now realised what was going to happen, her panic rising once again. Rain was now the deer in headlights, frozen into place and unsure of what to do or say, hyperventilating and wanting out.
