Odiana felt her heart pounding from a mix of fear, relief and battle lust but she had no time to contemplate or even feel grateful that Roy hadn't killed her to ensure his own survival. Back in the dark world when the dark flame had nearly consumed him and she'd had to carry him all the way back to the portal more than once she had considered leaving him she simply couldn't.
The fight had started in mere seconds and the demon lord had summoned her worm creature, the abomination was as big as a castle tower. Roy had taken it head on, arrogant bastard that he was, leaving her to deal with the demon lord.
She hefted the ethereal sword and leapt up the throne, covering the distance in an instant. Her sword came down with full force and absolute intention of splitting everything in it's path. Her will condensed into red aura that surrounded the sword.
Just before her sword struck Kalendrius faded out, it was nothing like Roy's short distance teleportation. One moment she was there and the next she wasn't. It was too late to halt her swing and the sword sheared through the metallic armrest of the throne, sending the chunk flying but she was undeterred Odiana was an experienced fighter, her instincts have been honest from multiple battles.
She twirled and lashed her sword, though the demon lord was shocked she wasn't caught off guard. The Princess's attack hit an impenetrable magic barrier making her hand buzz slightly from the impact.
"You would need more than parlour tricks to defend yourself against me demon!" Odiana taunted angrily.
Kalendrius raised an eyebrow and replied "I suppose so" then waved her hand.
Odiana's eye widened and she threw herself off the dais mere moments before white flames exploded where she was standing and covered the entire dais.
She landed and managed to roll to her feet in time to watch Roy and the giant worm crash into the throne effectively putting out the fire.
With a puff of smoke, Roy appeared next to her but Odiana could barely acknowledge him, she was in shock.
"How can a demon conjure holy flames?" She asked futilely, the holy flame was the ultimate symbol of the paladins, only holiest and blessed paladins could conjure it, even Odiana hadn't acquired the ability and she was one of the best.
"Don't lose focus now princess, it's not over yet" Roy said from next to her. Moments later flames exploded over the corpse of the demon wurm and Kalendrius burst out of it, soaring high up.
"Filthy pests!" She seemed angry for the first time since the fight started. "You think you can dethrone"
Roy's eyebrows rose in surprise, "well actually I hadn't thought of that but actually it sounds like a good idea"
The demon lord's eyes flared, "die!"
The white flames surged wildly and started to spread.
"Shit" Roy cursed.
Odiana back away from the flames, her eyes wide, this was far greater magic than she had ever seen. Just as the flames rose to consume them the roof caved in as a massive bronze ship crashed down onto the floating demon lord, burying her in steel and rubble.

A/N: so I know I've been quiet for a long time. I have no excuse, just life.
