Sam and John got into the car gloomily. They were going to her house. John got to stay there on Wednesday and every other weekend. John should be happy, but the memories of her still lingered, like virus, changing him. Sam drove in silence, past streets and buildings that John used to walk with his mom side by side, every weekend. All of these memories played out in his mind, growing from color to black and white. He was losing the memories. Why? I'm going to see her in a couple of minutes...... John and Sam both knew something was wrong when they got to her house. Ambulances were everywhere, and she was on a stretcher, being wheeled into an ambulance. John ran towards her, ignoring everybody else.

"I'm sorry son, but we need to get her to the hospital right now." A police officer said, blocking John's path.

"I need to see her!!" John sobbed.

Sam looked at John, and felt the same thing. Sam could lose somebody he really loved.

Sam and John watched as the ambulance drove away. The thing that hurt them both the most, was that they couldn't do anything about it.
