The change

I began to get very sick . No one knew what was wrong with me . I lost
lot of weight and I never wanted to eat . It was like I was dying . But the thing is I was dying . I went to the doctors and was immediately put to the hospital there I was told my blood sugar was over 900 . I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called type one diabetes . I was 5 and scared I had no idea what this ment . I remember looking at my dad in the eyes and asking "daddy am I going to die ?" I knew that made my parents heart break seeing their baby sick dying in a hospital bed . I was once so healthy and then my pancreas decided to take a break on me . But like many things sometimes things don't work out . This change was going to add to the rest of my life struggles . But I had no idea what was going to happen next . As far as I knew I was a sick but happy child without a care in the world . I remember I always used to smile and laugh . Soon things changed .
