The week passed quickly and the Todoroki siblings finally got two letters in the mail. Each one adorned with the gold and blue UA crest. The letters described to them how they excelled in every category both academic and physical and explained how lucky UA would be to have them as students.
Aiko took a particular liking to this acceptance letter as it was a video of All Might, her father's self-proclaimed archrival, telling them how great they were.
The letter explained that the semester was supposed to start in about a month and in the meantime, they were to start designing their hero costumes so they could be submitted to the support core. It also said that their uniforms should be arriving within the next week and inside the package, there should be homeroom assignments and schedule charts.
When Endeavor got home, the two informed him of the news. As expected, he just gloated, going on about how it was no surprise that his proteges made it into such a prestigious school.
They just glared at the man, waiting for him to stop his egotistical speech about how skilled of a teacher he was. Once he was done, his chest puffed up in pride, he awkwardly patted their heads as he walked past them to go to his office.
"Let's hope he never does that again," Aiko commented, weirded out by the odd display of affection from their father.
"Yep," Shoto agreed, equally as weirded out as he slowly turned to make his way up the stairs to his room, Aiko not far behind.
The short period between their acceptance into UA and the start of the spring term went by fairly quickly and Aiko and Shoto soon found themselves preparing for their first day as hero-trainees.
"...Aiko. Are you up?" Shoto whispered in Aiko's ear. Though he was absolutely terrible at whispering so his question only ended up waking her.
"I am now," Aiko groaned. "Why did you wake me up at 5 in the morning, Two-tone?" She continued, annoyed at him for asking that question like he didn't just wake her up on purpose.
"I figured we could get a training session in before school. It should only take an hour then you have 45 minutes to get ready before we need to leave," He suggested, as he stood up straight.
"I guess that makes sense. Give me 5 minutes to put on my training gear and I'll meet you in the training room," Aiko sighed, yanking the blanket off her body.
"Alright, and bring your staff. I wanna spar today," He said as he walked out of her room.
Aiko was only doing this because she knew this was Shoto's way of saying he was nervous.
He wasn't good with emotions or people, so the first day of school always freaked him out. He used to just be unusually snappy, but after Aiko recommended they spar once the first day of their first year in middle school, Shoto stuck with it, finding it somewhat calming.
Aiko rolled out of bed, softly groaning as she dressed in her usual training clothes, and grabbed her bo staff off its rack in her room before heading down the stairs to the training room so they could get started.
After about 20 minutes of sparring, Aiko had her brother pinned on his back for the second time that morning.
"Nice job, Two-tone. You're improving, that was harder than usual. I had to try a little this time," She teased, offering her hand to him.
"I still haven't beat you. It upsets me," He mumbled as he grabbed the outstretched hand and stood up.
"You still have a little ways to go before you can take me down without using our quirks. But there will be a day when you finally can, especially with the training we will be receiving at UA. Speaking of which, let's go take a shower and get ready, we have about 30 minutes before we need to leave," She said as she pushed him out of the door.
