I don't know what to really say in this one. I think that if Kid couldn't get Patty, he'd try to go out with Maka and steal her from Soul. And same goes for Maka, except the other way around. AND if Soul didn't know how he felt before it would make him realize and again, same goes for Patty. But as for in the actual anime, I don't think this would happen. It's just what I think though...
