Natsu POV

As Gray and I circled the back of the building I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Something was wrong. I just know it. Gray was already on edge so i didn't mention the pit forming in my stomach. Last thing i need is ice princess over there thinking im weak. 

Slowly i picked up Lucy's scent, vanilla like her shampoo. I shouldn't have separated from her. I know she can take care of herself but, I always protect her. 

Before i can continue my thought process a bang and yelling sounds through the guild hall. Lucy! Gray and i took off in a sprint towards the doors. I saw Erza drop in as we run up to the doors. 

Once we burst through i see the girls are surrounded and so were we. Lucy's scent was gone and i couldn't see her anywhere. 

"Wendy what the hell happened?" i yelled. How is she not here. 

"They shoved Lucy into a room with their master, i couldn't get in," she mumbled clearly feeling like shes to blame. 

"Where's the room, i'll kick all your asses to get to it," i yelled. Nothing is stopping me from getting Lucy back. Nothing. 

"That won't be necessary," a voice rang out. A man approached us, he looked tall and built, but i could take him. 

"Where is Lucy," Erza called out. The man stepped to the side and there she was. Smiling at us like nothing happened. 

"Are you okay? I was really worried," Wendy asked looking around cautiously at the wizards surrounding is. 

Something is wrong, i can tell. I just don't know what yet. 

"Yeah, guys I'm fine it was just a misunderstanding, Clive here just wanted to chat, he knew we were frairytail already," Lucy says brushing off the fact they locked her in a room with him. 

I don't like this, this guy seems way to comfortable around her. She hasn't looked at me once either. 

"Lucy..." i said making her finally look at me. Her eyes met mine, and something was different. They didn't shine the way they do when she looked at before. She quickly looked away before laughing and apologizing to everyone for causing a commotion. 

"We'll get out of your guys hair now, it was very nice meeting you Clive..." Lucy said. She looked up at the man. I didn't realize his scar till now, or the way she looked at him. Why is she looking at a man she just met like that. 

"The pleasure was all mine, Ms. Heartfilia." Clive said smiling down at her. Something in me was boiling. He shouldn't get to look at her like that. Only i should. 

"Lets go. We're leaving" i commanded. Lucy smiled sweetly at Clive and followed us out. As she joined back up with the group her scent was different, something musky lingered. Like it was mixed in with her usual scent. 

I glanced at Wendy who was watching with concern as well. So it's not only me who smelled it. 

"What happened in there Lucy," i asked wanting to know why this guy has her like this. 

"Oh nothing, it was all a misunderstanding, Clive was so sweet to me, even invited me to come join his guild." she said laughing. We all stopped dead in our tracks. She didn't noticed we stopped at first so she turned to look at us. 

"What did you tell him," Erza muttered. What she says right now will either pull this group together or apart. Our group isn't a group without Lucy. 

"I said i'd think about it, i have to talk to master first but i think i might," she spoke so happily and freely it broke me. I let out a breath i didn't know i was holding. I heard Wendy let out a small sob, while Gray and Erza looked angry. 

All i felt was numb. How could she leave me, us, so easily. Happy and Carla both stood silently by our sides unsure of what to say. 

"Could you guys give us a minute," I asked not taking my eyes of Lucy. The others nodded and continued down the road towards the Guild. 

"How could you do this," i asked trying to hold back the emotions i was feeling. I was never very good and expressing my emotions or even knowing what they meant. Especially the ones i was feeling right now. 

"I don't understand why you guys are upset, I thought you'd be happy for me, someone finally wants me and your all angry." when she spoke it tore me to pieces. 

"We've always wanted you Lucy, every moment of everyday you're all i've ever wanted," I didn't realized what i said till it was to late. I didn't even know i felt like that until i said it. I saw a slight glimmer in her eyes before they changed again. 

She shook her head and put on a smile again,"Don't worry Natsu, we'll all still be friends, I'll just live somewhere else now," and with that she patted my shoulder and followed the others back to Fairy tail. I don't know what happened to her but something changed in that room. 

I don't know what but i know i wont rest until my Lucy is back. She would never leave behind her family. Not by choice. Watching her walk with the others in silence was weird. We've always been happy together. No one could even look at Lucy while i couldn't take my eyes off her. 

She looked the same, her blonde hair pulled back, her blue and white shirt and mini skirt, her keys hung on the side of her waist which shook with every step she took. She was her, but her eyes didn't shine like they usually did. Her smile didn't make my heart skip a beat like it usually did. Her laugh that's usually contagious felt fake and forced. Her scent which usually smelled of sweet vanilla that was intoxicating, was now laced with a musky dark scent that didn't fit her. 

How am i supposed to get her back when i don't even know how i lost her. As we reached the guild hall Lucy went straight into the masters office. Erza filled in the others on what happened. Levy was so upset, she was Lucy's best friend. Gajeel tried comforting her but it only got worse as Lucy came out and left without telling anyone anything. 

Levy called after her but she just walked out, still with that same smile on her face. 

I don't know how, or when, but i will bring you home Lucy, trust me.
