One Thing

"What's wrong Ava? You look like you're out of it right now" Luke says concerned.

"It's nothing, honestly" I lied.

I couldn't tell him that a few days ago I cut. He didn't need to know. He would eventually find out though. I mean, how did I not think of this sooner, it's a pool party. It involves showing your wrists and thighs. I hope he doesn't notice them.

"Alright well if it's nothing, which i'm sure is a lie, i'm just gonna go next door and get my swimsuit and in a bit we will leave." Luke replies unsure of whether to leave me or not.

"Ok" was all I said.

I watched him walk out of my room and heard the front door close. I hurried into the bathroom and checked my wrists and thighs.  They have a scab over them but they are still somewhat visible. I guess i'll just have to try my.best to hide them.

This sucks.

I got changed and went back into my room. My phone lit up over on my bed.

Alright.

I grabbed a bag and packed someclothes to change into after the pool party. They were a pair of shorts and a black crop top with moons on it.  I put on a pair of flip flops and walked downstairs. Right when I got to the bottom step Luke runs in the house and drags me to the car.

I told him where to go and we eventually got there.

We went down Alys long driveway to get to her house and when we did Lukes eyes were wide.

Her house is a huge 2 story in the woods that loos like a cabin.

We walked to the back of the house.

In the back, theres a large yard with a pool a couple meters away from her back deck. Then a couple feet from the pool is her trampoline. In the far right corner of her yard is a spot for the bonfire. The far left theres a path that leads to a meadow.

Luke stood in awe. Then he spoke.

"Did I tell you I invited some people over to meet you and your friends?"

"Luke, you di-" I was suddenly cut off by 3 boys walking to the back yard. One had curly hair with a red bandana in it, another had green hair, and the last looked really tan.

"That one with the bandana is Ashton, the one with the weird hair is Michael, and the last one is Calum" Luke says as he points to each.

This pool party is going to be interesting.
