Start All Over Again

Prologue

Today was the week before school starts and I'm currently watching a movie at my house with my friends. We were watching a movie about a girl who were a nerd but did a major makeover and the love of her life finally noticed her. Talk about cliché.

When the movie ended, my friend Mia was in tears. "That was soo beautiful!" She said.

I looked at her like she was crazy. "Mia that was so cliché. Right Abby?"

I looked at Abby and saw that she was staring at me. Then she smiled as if she just thought of something amazing.

"Actually. I just had an awesome idea!" She said as if she was reading my mind.

"What is it?" Mia asked.

"WE. As in Mia and me will give YOU, Aubrey, a makeover just like in the movie." Abby said with a wide smile on her face.

Yeah right. I thougt as if HE will fall for me.

"Guys that is so ridiculous. And besides, it's impossible for "him" to fall for me. I don't even like someone!" I told them.

"Come on Aubrey! Just give it a try. It will be so fabulous and we can finally see the hidden beauty in you." Mia said.

"ME?! Beauty?? You must be kidding Mia. I'm not even pretty!" I told her, slightly blushing.

"Don't think so low of yourself Aubrey. You're pretty and I'm seriously telling the truth. You just need a little bit of fixing here and there and you'll be all good." Abby said seriously.

"Yeah. And besides, school is starting next week so we still have time to teach you how to take care of that pretty little face of yours. And when school starts... BAM! You will be the school's new queen bee!" Mia added.

"Guys, that things only happens in movies." I said. "Besides, I don't want to change. And this is our last year in school so there is no point doing this."

"Exactly! It's our last year, atleast have a little bit excitement in your life. No offence though." Abby said.

"No." I said firmly. There is no way I'll do that.

"Please! Please! Pretty please!!!" They said giving me the puppy dog eyes.

"Ugh! Sometimes I hate you guys. You know my weaknesses." I said giving in.

"YES! Oh my gosh! I'm sooooo excited. This will be so much fun." Mia said excitement filling her voice.

"But can we do it tomorrow? It's already 11:30." I said, looking at the wall clock.

"Okay." They said in union.

We all stand up and went to my room since they're sleeping over at my. But as I started my way to the stairs, I felt a gaze on me so I looked up to our window and saw HIM. He was looking at me. Jacob Collin was looking at me. Then I saw something flash in his eyes but they were gone before I could tell what it was and he already looked away.

Oh my god! I thought slightly blushing Did he heard what we were talking about?

Then I remembered our last encounter with each other and it just brought the old feelings back. It was the day before our sophomore year and we just got off of a phone call with each other...

*FLASHBACK*

Jacob and I just got off of a phone call with each other. He said he was going to go here and tell me something. I don't know why he just can't tell it on the phone, he just said he would be here and tell me something then hang off. Weird.

So when I heard the bell being pressed so many times, I already knew it was him.

"Can't you ring it more?" I ask sarcasm in my voice.

"Uhh... I yeah, s-sorry about t-hat." Jacob said nervously.

Jacob barely get nervous around me so that was enough reason for me to get worried.

"Hey are you okay? Why are you being so nervous?" I ask, my voice full of concern. He just sighed and looked into my eyes before saying the most unexpected thing to me that just broke my heart into a million pieces.

"Aubrey we can't be friends anymore."

*END OF FLASHBACK*

It hurted. And I did my best to move on but every time he looks at me.. it just.. It always bring back memories. And those memories was just thrown away and I still don't know the reasons why.

But then... I remembered the way he looked at me just a few minutes ago, as if he... missed me.

Yeah right the voice inside my head said that's why he left.

Ugh I hate that stupid voice inside me.

I noticed that I was still looking at his window and I thought of one thing...

Maybe this whole new changing thing might work... Or not.
