Chapter 5

There we were. we were stood there at a crossroads of sorts. My scythe was drawn to my father's neck still, and the pressure in the room was immense. No one could do a damn thing, and they knew it.

"How!?" Father said to me. I could see the sweat coming off of his face as he looked ready to shit himself.

"Time has passed for me father, way faster than you think."

"And what do you plan on doing with this power you possess you monster?"

"Me? The monster? You must be out of your damn mind, Damon."

"I see you took the courtesy of learning my name."

"I was the one that named you, how would I not know your name?"

"Then you got some questions to answer old man, before I slaughter everyone in this damn room."

"You wouldn't."

As soon as he said that, I once again dashed, this time to one of his advisors and held up my scythe to their neck. Father's eyes went wide and he knew I wasn't bluffing.

"Alright, I'll tell you what you want to know, just let them go, please."

His advisors were disgusted at the fact that their leader could show so much desperation .

after hearing him say those words, I took him by the collar and dashed out of the palace, and took him far away from anyone. My speed has gone up insanely. It was as when I ran, I was a streak of color. He was helpless against me, and I would use that to my advantage."

After reaching our destination I knew it was time to get answers. I sat my father down and that's when I began.

"Start, I want to know who I am, why, and who my mom is. I want you to start from the beginning."

He had a devastated face, as if he didn't want to relive his past horrors, but he continued anyways.

"I was a prince then, next in line for the throne of the fire king. It was because of me that the entire continent was in a state of uncertainty. I was cocky, irrational, and couldn't contain my anger, until I met her. She was a bartender at a local air elemental bar. I was going around the country trying to get the public on my side, and then I got drunk as fuck in her tavern. She showed me kindness of the likes I've never experienced before. After I became king, I frequently snuck out to go see her, but I knew it was wrong. It was already taboo to be in a relationship with an acolyte, but one of an opposite element? Who knows what would have happened if we were found out. One day, she told me that she was pregnant with my first child. I was more excited than even she was. But then it hit us, this pregnancy wasn't supposed to happen. At all. And with me being hated in the public eye, this could prove lethal to the structure of the world. So she decided to leave, she knew if she gave birth she could die, and she took that risk because she loved you that much, even before you were even born. We said our last goodbyes to each other and then she was gone. I didn't know what happened to her after that."

I turned away from my father, disgusted that he would sacrifice the life of his lover for public opinion. He was scum, and the worst form of scum.

Still turned away from him, I asked him a single question.

"What was her name."

I didn't get a response..

"Jump, Damon!" Rimuru screamed to me. I followed suit, and when I look down, there was my father, who had used aura release and unleashed a flame attack where I once stood. Once I was back on my feet and a little distance away from him, he spoke to me.

"Her name was Geri. Listen Damon, you have to die. Who knows what will happen if you were to live and people found out what you were."

"I'm willing to take that chance."

I used my aura release and my tatau spread to both of my arms, my neck, and across my original scar.

"I see you did some training, your tatau has grown."

"You have know idea where I've been training."

The pressure was immense between the two of us, so much so that the ground was shaking and rumbling below us.

"Elemental Spirit Summoning: Fire Phoenix!" he called out, and there was his spirit. Standing tall, his aura in the eyes of others would be massive, along with his tatau that covered both of his arms and his torso by the looks of it, but I'm no ordinary person. I was ready, and I wanted this.

"Elemental Spirit Summoning: Rimuru." I said calmy, and there erupted Rimuru. I thought he was already big, but man was this dragon massive. He towered over the phoenix and my father, instilling fear even into me. But knowing that he was on my side, made me that much more sure that I had nothing to fear for this battle.

"Impossible, how do you have a spirit!?" He said to me, confusion in his voice.

"Anything is possible if you put your mind to it." At this point, he hasn't seen my element before, the daemon element, and I don't plan on showing it if I don't have to. He dashed towards me on the back of his phoenix. I hopped on Rimuru and we flew up. Now in the skies we were floating, staring at our opponents. I knew I was going to kill my father today, and he had to die. he just had to. Once they came to dash at us again, I hopped off of Rimuru's head and he launched me with his claw, as if reading my mind, though we are actually mind linked. I flew through the sky faster than ever and precisely kicked my dad off of the phoenix. Next thing you know, we're free falling through the air but it's as if I'm standing, on top of my father, like if he was a surf board. I was intent on slamming his ass into the ground. And I did just that, but before that I used my scythe to slash him up, as a way to ensure it. We reached the ground, and judging by the massive hole in the ground, I knew that he was gone. I took his lifeless body to the center of the fire kingdom, and claimed it. It was the first ever territory of the Daemon kingdom, and it was just the beginning. I took down anyone who challenged me and used rimuru as a sort of, bodyguard. Eventually, everyone came around to accept me as their new leader, and I invited those of my home village to live here with me, but they respectfully declined. I offered them sanctuary here whenever they would please it, and that they graciously accepted. I took down the fire kingdom, and now to take down the rest. My journey was just beginning.
