Bruises

Uh oh.

Kai is a 14 year old trans man.

Jackie is a 15 year old cis female.

"Hey.. HEY....... HEY!" Jackie Angrily yelled at Kai "Huh?"

Kai took his Earbuds out and looked at the angry Jackie "What's wrong?" Kai curiously asked "You're so annoying" Jackie said, looking frustrated. "What did I do wrong?!" Kai stopped walking and faced Jackie, frowning. "I was just walking..?"

Kai put his phone and earbuds in his pocket before looking back up at the frowning teenager "Its just, my dads been drinking and I cant talk to you when you have your stupid earbuds in" Jackie sighed, Kicking a stone. "Well, You know I need my earbuds and music." Kai looked at the ground, feeling guilty "Shall we go to the park? Im Really bored."

Kai looked up at Jackie, smiling "Well, can we head back to my house quickly before we do?" Jackie smiled awkwardly while kicking another stone. "Sure thing, what for?" Kai Bent down, his hood still up as usual, and grabbed a stick, whipping It about the air, making a windy sound "Just for drink to take, and maybe some breakfast bars, I have run out" Jackie said, Turning around after hearing squawks behind them. "Kai, did you hear that..?" Jackie said looking confused "It sounded like it was right behind me.."

Kai jumped, Realizing, he quickly grabbed Jackies arm, Swiftly turning her around and fast-walking the other way, Kai glared back at a jackdaw, who has a mischievous look in his eye "Its probably nothing"

They carried on walking to the village, Jackie still rubbing her arm from Kai's harsh grab. As they finally reached Jackie's house. "I Will only be a second." Jackie said, Walking into her house. A Jet-black jackdaw landed on Kai's shoulder, Surprising him, he laughed and ruffled the feathers of the black Bird "Sweet Jesus Aiden! You're naughty." Aiden shoved what felt like a leaf in his ear, "Go on, I will be back later."

Aiden flew off, squawking as he went. Kai picked the leaf out his ear and put it on the ground, Rubbing his shoulder seeing as aiden made new holes in his hoodie, AGAIN. Jackie came out, Her head hanging low, She had an obvious bruise on her eye, With a backpack on, that held the following: Breakfast bars, Water, Plaster's, Medicine And a silver Swiss army pen-knife.

Kai looked over with a confused expression on his face, worried at the same time. "What the hell happened? Are you okay!?" Kai rushed up to his friend, Lifting his head up to see the bruise more "What did he do to you!?" Kai tilted his head to the side slightly "What does it LOOK Like he did!?" Jackie replied, Angrily whilst shoving Kai away. "Okay, Okay sorry Jesus christ-"

Kai Looked at the floor, "Do you still want to go? Im sorry I don't really know how to deal with situations like this" Kai said with sympathy in his voice. Jackie shoved past Kai while walking in the direction of the park, Kai looked hurt but trailed behind her, Knowing she wanted to be alone for the moment.

Kai plugged in his earbuds and turning on a song. When they reach the rusty old park, That held a wobbling slide and a swing set, with only one working swing on it, seeing as the other one fell off. "Can I have some water please" Kai said, Frustrated. Jackie threw a water bottle his way, almost hitting him, he fumbled around to get it, it almost falling on the floor, but he caught it.

"You're welcome" Jackie said, sniggering. They got up and started walking around, not knowing what to do with themselves. As they walked in the park they felt the gritty floor and stones getting in the cracks of their shoes, Kai took his hood off, showing their short purple hair with brown shaved sides.

Jackie looked over to Kai "Wow your hair's really.. " she paused for a moment, "..greasy" she said looking disgusted, "well gee thanks" Kai said sarcastically while putting his hood back up. "Shall we go over to that tree, looks pretty cool." Kai ventured. As Jackie walked over to the tree (Kai trailing behind) she noticed it was rotting and the trunk was quite soft.

"Welp, see you in a second." Kai said, then immediately jumped up and climbed high into the tree in seconds, hanging around from his arms. While Kai was climbing the tree, Jackie started carving a shape in the tree with her pen-knife. Kai jumped down and sat on a low hanging branch as Jackie began to speak "So I was thinking." Jackie looked up at Kai on the branch "What." Kai replied, still frustrated at Jackie,

"This is getting boring, shall we go down to the lake?" Jackie said while throwing her knife into the trunk, Very slightly missing Kai's leg, grabbing it after and putting it in her pocket. "Sure why not." Kai jumped back down and walked next to Jackie towards the lake. As they left the gate they heard the sound of rushing water, Kai tapped Jackie on the shoulder after hearing some noise and getting Anxious as usual "W-What was that..?"

Kai stuttered, she had the feeling someone.. or something was watching them. "Its nothing you wimp." Jackie reassured Kai. They started to open the gate, Jackie feeling as anxious as Kai was but hid it, not wanting to scare Kai more than he already was. "Come on, the lake is clos-" Suddenly, they both got violently swept off their feet, not feeling gravity.

Jackie and Kai screamed, Jackie not knowing what was going on, started swinging the screw on her pen-knife around, she felt pressure on her hand, realising she had hit something she quickly shifted her eye-sight towards Kai, who was swinging his arms and legs about kicking and punching the stronger adult. It was very hard for Kai to breathe, because he was wearing his binder. Jackie realised she had hit the big adult In the ribs. Suddenly, they were thrown onto a harder surface, "JACKIE?!" Kai screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice raspy and wheezy. they both felt a sharp object in the leg, and it went pitch black.
