I log online. "Let's win this thing!"

"Yeah! Let's go boiiiiiiiiiiii!"

I burst out laughing.
"Damn Pika. You think you can go longer?"

"Of course I can! Bo-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there. The game is starting."

"Gah! Fine. But I'm doing it in discord!"

"K."

Few minutes later

"We won! Let's go!"

"Wooooo! KIRISHIMA! YOU OWE ME FIVE BUCKS!"

"Kirishima? Is he a friend of yours?"

"Yup! He's my beat friend! Well so is Mina, Sero and ...I guess Bakugo."

I feel a small pang in my heart.
"That's all?"

"Yup! Best buds!"

It hurts more.
"Hey...Uh...I gotta go. Bye Pika."

"What? But I still have an hour till class." 

"I-I gotta go." My voice cracks.

"But-" I close my laptop.

"Come on Pika...we've known each other for a year now...But he has real friends. I'm just some stupid online friend." I get up and walk downstairs.

I see my father cooking.
"Hey dad." I sit down.

"Hey Y/N. How was play with Pika today?"

I sigh. "He started talking about his friends...how they were his best friends. I...I got jealous and left."

He turns around. "Well at least you admit to being jealous. But why?"

"Like I said. He was saying how they were his best friend and he didn't say I was. I've know him longer..."

"Do you like him Y/N?"

My eyes widen. "What?! We don't even know each others real identities! We only know each others voices!"

"Hm...well maybe you will meet him soon."

"Huh? What do you...no. We aren't!"

"Haha. Yup. We're heading to Japan for a week to see your mother."

"Really?! So...I might see him?!"

He nods. "Well, hopefully. Now go pack. We leave in two days and I don't want you to be unprepared."

I nod and quietly run upstairs. I go to my computer to tell Pika but I stop myself. "No. It'll be a surprise!"

This is moving quickly. But eh. It'll be worth it.
