Artemis^

Selene's POV:

"I can't believe she did that! Oh Hades!" Artemis hunched over in laughter. For the goddess of hunt she makes a lot of noise.

We saw everything. From her gawking to Olympias threats. It was a good show I must say.

I smile at the thought of my little champion. Looks like it was a good idea to give her a mate. She is more compatible and protective. Even though she was made to be a killing machine I made sure that war and battle wouldn't blind her just like it blinded Ares. As far as I'm concerned the only things he cared for was blood shed and Aphrodite. He doesn't even care which side he fights. I didn't want her to end up like him.

Giving her a mate was to reduce her focus on the battle a little. She's is just seventeen and has a lot of responsibility. I'm so proud of her. She is just my little champion. She is like a daughter I never had.

"I still don't know why Merlin made that necklace though. If she can still do that what's the point of it?"

"Do you know that if a normal wolf ever wore that thing they can risk their life? That how much power that necklace consumes Artemis. Her powers are as god like as possible. I bet she can have a draw with Ares in a fight. But she is still mortal."

"Your really proud of her."

"Of course. And you should too. After all you were the one who taught her archery and yet she surpasses you."

"How dare you selene?!"

I chuckle at her when she gives me a glare.

Arty is my closest companion in Olympus other than Apollo.
But we have a lot of contrast. She never wants to be with a man and I pair couples. Its very silly how she tries to explain to me that not everyone needs a mate. But that's not true. Someone is equal to you. The person you go to for comfort and for help. The person you go to for snuggles and kisses. The same person that shares your emotions with you and understands you. But Artemis mostly thinks about the horrible lusty needs and how much effort it is to keep at a relationship.

Other than our differences we have something in common. We  both love nature and despise Hera , Ares and Athena.

As if on cue he strolls in. Which makes Artemis smile to to turn to a scowl.

Oh boy.

"What's up ladies?! He smirks as he drops his bloody sword at the side of the door.

He walks to where my little wolf pup, lunar is sleeping and kicks her.

She rushes over to me and climbs onto my lap as Ares laughs.

Poor girl.

I sigh.

"What do you want Ares? Shouldn't you be in a battle or something?"

He smiles sickly.

"Of course. I was in one. It was quick though. I was so into it that I didn't really remember which side I was in so I ended up killing everyone. I practically left the land of the dead."

He's gone mad. I think at this point nothing can stop him now. Not even Zeus.

He sits down on a stool.

"So Selene. I heard that your champion is going into war soon. You know that if she needs help or any advice I think I would be-"

"I think I would like to pass Ares."

"Why?! You should be grateful. I mean I've never done anything nice for you. And we all know war is my specialty."

"Very funny. Remember the last time I allowed you to fight for me. I needed peace not 1094 corpses and they were human."
Arty adds with an aspirated sigh

"So what your saying is there's no killing?" He scrunches he nose in disgust.

"Of course there we be deat-"

"So why can't I come and be involved?"

"Ares! We've talked about this. For once face your own battles. I created Olympia for a reason. I really don't care if if you don't agree with me. Just don't get in the way. If you do you wish you never messed with me. Got it? I'm tired of your damned ATTITUDE!!!"

Silence. I look around to see Ares shocked but Artemis amused face.

Oh my word.

That was so unladylike of me. I can't believe I swore.

Ares brings out the worst in people.

With a defeated sigh he gets up and walks to the door.

"You know for someone who looks at the moon every night like you want to bang it, you are actually very persistent... And a little bit cool. But one thing straight Selene. In the name of Zeus I will join this battle in anyway I can. And there is nothing you can to to stop me."

He gives us a menacing smirk an walks off.

"Looks like your plan he is heading another path selene. What are you going to do?"

I try to stay calm as I stroke lunar.

I don't know Arty. But whatever I have to do I need to do it fast."

"Oh and by the way damn is not a swear word."

Filler chapter

I think people will be confused.

This Ares is the god of war!
