Sitting in my chair with my hoodie covering my head. I try to block everyone out. I sit there fizzing out the noise, trying to make sure no sound penetrates. Then I am at peace and I shut my eyes, and wallow in God's presence. An abrupt shake comes from my desk.
Tina: Why are you sitting in my seat?
Eliora: Look if this is about what happened yesterday, I don't have anything whatsoever to do with your boyfriend.
Tina: I said why are you sitting in my seat.
She grabs the top of desk and pulls it out of the way so she can have a clear view of me.
Tina: Guys this is what you call sad. Look at your clothes. All you wear are basic faded colors, nothing bright or attractive like you.
Everyone starts laughing. I look down at the floor. I pick up my big and decide to head out the door. She trips me and I fall into the set of chair. My nose feels hot, and I see blood all over the top part of my jacket. I get up turn around and show the whole class room what has happened. Now all their grins and smiles have been turned to blank stares.
Eliora: Are you happy now, do you not see what's happening. She does all these things to me, and yet I can't even grasp how you people find this amusing. Tina I may not have the nicest colors in clothes. Not the most updated fashion. But atleast my heart is not mix match shades or murky black.
I turn around and head out the door, and I hear the door open behind me. Tina begins to follow me telling an assortment of curse words. I pick up my pace and turn the corner. I run into the someone.
Daniel: Woah Eliora what happened to your -
Tina: Come back here you stupid-
Daniel: Stupid what Tina...no finish your sentence. All this time you try to act like an angel and nice. But you're just some rich girl who doesn't know when to quit.
Daniel grabs me by the arm. But I resist. He looks me in the eye, and he has tears forming. He pulls me again but this time I follow him. We make it to the nurses office. He gets some ice and watered napkin and tries to clean the blood. I take the ice and place it on my noes.
Daniel: You okay
I just sit there in the silence I don't say a word.
Daniel: Well I am going to be in the office if you need me.
I sit there. Just there with no noise. And I close my eyes. And I take in reality then move on.
