Jason was barely conscious and he helplessly watched as they killed him. But this time there was no reset.
"No!" Jason shouted and tried to escape the grasp of his captors but he couldn't. "Please," he cried, "let him go. Kill me instead. He doesn't deserve this."
"Course he does. You both do. Which is why I'm making you watch," Lex said as he put a liquid in a syringe, it was fast acting poison.
Please come, Bruce. Don't let another son down.
"No," Jason kept crying.
Dick said, "Hey, Jay. It's okay. Don't cry. I love you," he smiled. He didn't want Jason to be sad.
Lex injected Dick and his heart beat slowed and he died.
...
"No!" Jason shouted as he reached out but nothing was there. He looked around and came to his senses. He was in his apartment.
I was there. I couldn't save him. I let him down.
"You okay, Jason? I heard screaming," a voice said as the figure came into the room. It was Babs.
Jason turned to look at Babs, he eyes filled with tears, "No, I'm not okay."
