it was the end of the day - you were sitting in class , waiting for the familiar bell to chime so you can gather your things and walk home .
𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐄
you sat behind the student with the highest grades in the class - shuichi saihara . although you two weren't friends , you had spoken to eachother on a few occasions - he had even helped you with work in another class . the strangest thing to you , however , was the fact that this was actually the class he struggled the most with - yet he still got the highest marks .
𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄
as you were staring at him , scribbling in a notebook , the bell chimed - and it felt like everyone , at once , began to put their things away . even shuichi , who seemed to do it faster than everyone else . that was when you saw his expression - filled with worry .
𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐅𝐔𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐓 , 𝐒𝐇𝐄'𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋
you held onto your bag , watching as the others left the classroom , and you soon followed after them . however , you didn't leave the school just yet - instead standing in the doorway as shuichi just about finished , clutching onto his own bag .
𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃
" saihara . . a word . " the teacher suddenly called out , to which the navy - haired boy stood completely still , staring at you , panicked . he let out a small sigh , turning back around and standing in front of the older man's desk . he looked over to you , making a small shooing motion . " you should be getting home , ( y / c ) . " he mumbled , turning back to shuichi .

reluctantly , you closed the door , but put your ear against it to try and hear what the two were talking about . you heard your classmate stuttering , hearing someone along the lines of " i don't want to anymore , " although it was slightly muffled . it was silent for a few seconds , as you couldn't hear anything else . until . .
" please , stop - ! "
