Throughout my last two years of highschool, I got to know Kenma more and more. We went through many challenges, one of the bigger ones being the distance between ourselves when we entered college. But regardless we persisted. And as I sat inside my tour buss, I couldn't help but let some of those memories we made re-surface in my mind in no particular order.
'Once Kenma and Kuroo walked out we all said goodbye and started walking home, the walk to my house was relatively silent as Kenma was super concentrated on his game. He had a hard time reading it because it was in English, so it took 2x as long to understand and process the words that were written on the tiny screen.
At some point he stopped walking, and glared at the screen. "Kenma?" I asked, tilting my head in curiosity. "I don't think I'm reading this right..." he tells me, his glare intensifying. I looked over his shoulder and stared at the screen, "Which word?" His gaze was still on the screen as he stuttered out the word 'Delilah'.
I took another look at the game and could only find one word that began with a 'D' and when I found it I started laughing. "W-what's so funny..." Kenma said, a blush covering his face. "It's not- it's not 'Delilah', it's Dandelion." I started laughing even louder as Kenma's blush only got worse.
After I finished laughing we continued our walk, a rare smile graced my lips as we walked again in silence. It didn't take long to have Kenma ask a question though. "Do you know a lot about flowers?" It was a sudden question, but i was pleasant with the fact our whole way home wouldn't be too quiet. "Yes. I'm grandmother owns a flower shop back in my home town. I used to spend most of my days there with her."
Kenma hummed in understanding before asking another question. "What was your favorite flower?" I hummed, thinking about it for a second. "Well.. my favorite flower is 'Forget me nots' but my favorite thing to grow was dandelions... most people don't know this but they're actually weeds. Because I loved them so much my grandmother would dig them out and plant them in one of the greenhouses."
"And on slightly windy days I would open the green house door, gust of wind would come by, and carry the tuff like magic..." my smile widened as I remembered the small little memory. "It sounds very beautiful..." Kenma trailed off, mumbling his last few words so that I couldn't hear. "It really was."'
'I sat down, watching tv while Kenma played on his switch. At some point while i was watching my show Kenma's head slowly started to rest in my lap. I looked down at Kenma with a quirked brow, as if asking what he was doing.
He only glanced at me before returning to his game. "You don't mind, right?" He asked, to which I quickly shook my head no. Not long after I subconsciously started playing with his hair, which in turn made a small smile appear on Kenma's face, which went unnoticed by me.'
'Me and Kenma both sat on his bed, doing our own things, when I got the sudden urge to cuddle with Kenma. He was playing on his game so I decided I would rest my head in his lap since he likes to do that to me a lot.
I had closed my eyes and laid my head on top on his thighs, I didn't really get a reaction. He didn't flinch nor say anything, so I assumed I was okay.
After I few minutes of laying in the position I heard the clicking on his switch stop completely before a small kiss was pressed to the temple of my head. I instantly fluttered my eyes open, looking at Kenma.
But once I did Kenma was back to playing his game, almost as if it never happened in the first place. I couldn't help but smile as I closed my eyes again, deciding I'd take a little nap.'
'I was walking with Kenma back from practice as we usually did, it was irregularly quite but I didn't question it too much. Once we got to my house I said goodbye to Kenma before he suddenly stopped me.
