Chapter 7

Hope's pov

I wake up and look to my phone noticing the time 03:36am I groan and quietly get out of bed so i can let my mum sleep. I make my way down stairs and settle myself with a cup of hot chocolate and get comfy on the sofa with my phone when i decide to try and call Josie.

one ring... nothing

two rings... nothing

three rings.... nothing

I decide to stop the calling and go to change onto a different app when the phone rings and Josie's name pops up on the screen so i press answer

"Hello, are you okay?" the voice on the other end of the phone says in a sleepy tone.

That's what you missed on Legacies...

Hope's pov

"Um, Hi did i wake you?" I ask sheepishly

"I couldn't sleep, why are you awake?" She asks me and i hear the concern in her voice

"Nightmares, why can't you sleep?" I ask knowing Josie has had a hard time sleeping since the grave incident

"I don't know my chest hurts and my head too, but I'm fine. How has your day been with your mum and aunts?" she asks I smile before remembering the fact that she is in pain

"It's been good, I saw my cousin Nik. My aunt Freya and Rebekah are here now but I think Kol and Davina are on there way as we speak. now i want to know what you've done to cause yourself to be in pain? Did you get injured in training yesterday?" I ask quizzically knowing that we have weekly training lessons. " uh I don't think its something that i've physically done to harm myself. It's fine but maybe i should read something, help you go to sleep?" Josie asks me I nod my head " alright, I got twilight, is that okay?" she asks me " honestly, It's kinda cheesy but i love vampire, witch and werewolf books" I state sheepishly,

"Preface." she pauses

"I'd never given much thought to how I would die- though I'd had reason enough in the last few months- but even if I have, I would not have imagined it like this..." I feel myself doze off to the soft tone of Josie's voice.

Josie's pov

I stared without breathing across-" I stop when I hear soft snoring on the other end "Hope?" I question quietly in case she is asleep, when i get no answer I realise that she is asleep, I take a moment to admire her beauty before whispering a soft "sleep well, princess..." I don't turn of my camera, her soft breaths calm me and help me fall asleep.

Freya's pov

I wake up in the middle of the night so i could go downstairs to get a cup of water but halfway down i hear my niece talking, I tip toe so i could see her and she is calling Josie, actually i think she's reading twilight to Hope. I decide not to disrupt her so i just go back upstairs.

As I climb back into bed i remember to tell Rebekah that she owes me £10, I knew that she was gay, my gaydar never lies.

The next morning....

Hayley's pov

I wake up to the other side of the bed cold, before I get the chance to question it Freya walks into my room and holds the 'shh' sign up to me "I need to show you something, but you have to be silent" she says before leading me down into the living room where my daughter lay, I heard someone else breathing and turn to Freya, giving her a questioning look "last night I came down for a drink of water and I saw Hope lay there, Josie was reading a book to her, Twilight actually, I woke up to this when I came down this morning, Josie must have fallen asleep after Hope and left her computer on" Freya whispers, explaining the situation, I grab my phone and take a photo from an angle where you can see both Josie's face and Hope's, It is adorable.

Rebekah's pov

I walk down into the kitchen being quiet because it was peaceful for once, when I get their Freya and Hayley turn to me and whisper a good morning "do you want a cup of coffee?" Hayley asks me I nod and turn to Freya who seems to be excited about something "what's up with miss happy today?" I question towards my sister "guess who owes me 10 quid?" she says and I don't even care about the fact that I lost £10 "Hosie?" I question, using the nickname Freya and I came up with "Hosie" she confirms. I lose all composure i had and start fangirling and after a minuet Freya joins in with me, I can see Hayley about to burst out laughing when Hope walks into the kitchen, Freya and I pause, looking at each other before bursting out in laughter. This is my favourite moment.

A few days later...

"HOPE ANDREA MIKAELSON, GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED NOW" I hear Hayley yell at her daughter "Hayley, darling, don't yell at my favourite niece" I call up, I hear Freya and Keelin laugh at the current situation "She's your only niece" Hayley called down "but can you help me get her out of bed, she sleeps like a fucking log" she asks "I know how to get her out of bed" Freya says before going to the top of the stairs, near Hope's room, "Hope, we are going back to the school today and I heard that Miss Josie Saltzman cant wait to see you" she almost sings it out, that's when we hear a groan "I fucking hate mornings but I Love Josie more" she mutters bitterly, probably thinking it was quiet enough but she was wrong. "No swearing!!" I shout up "Fucking hell" she whispers then she pauses for a second "okay, I promise" she calls down.

When we get down stairs I hear Hayley mutter something " promise my ass, after 5 years of trying to get a moody teenager out of bed I have learned that nothing she says is true" I laugh, "okay I'll go put the bags in the back of the van and set up everything so we can just go when the lazy bum has finished her 'i got woke up at 2 in the afternoon but I'm still tired' pity party"  "I heard that" she calls down just as I was walking out of the house, I'm dreading this car journey.
