Chapter 4

Hope's pov

I am just about finished with my packing when i hear a knock on my door "Come in" i shout, i hear the door open and the voice of my favourite person "hey are you busy?" Josie states nervously "no I'm not busy, come in" i say ushering her in, i notice that she has something in her hands "Umm... I don't know if you need it but uhh..." she stalls rubbing her neck "I realised that you seemed to sleep better with me near so i brought you one of my jumpers for if you can't sleep and you can facetime me anytime you want." "Thank you" i say smiling "Im sorry for assuming if i was wrong" She mutters her face going red, I pull her against me in a tight hug.

"Hope have you seen Josie?" Lizzie states before she even set foot in the room "Never mind, oh and your mum wants you i think its time for you to go" she says, then she does something that shocks me, she pulls me close to her in a hug "see you next week" I smile and turn towards Josie "could you please help me down with my bags?" I ask, she nods and grabs the two bags of the floor while i grab the jumper and bag of my bed.

We walk down to Alaric's office and people were starting to stare, as we get closer to Ric's office i turn to Josie "why did you think i wouldn't have feelings for you?, I'm not exactly subtle" i ask her when we were stood outside of the office "Honestly, I guess i was mainly just scared that you wouldn't like me and i would be rejected in front of all of our friends" I smile at her "well i hope you know that the feelings are for sure reciprocated" i then push open the door to the office and i see my mum smiling, what's she so smiley about? i laugh in my head and turn towards Josie "Remember anything you need just call, no matter what time it is I will answer" I state leaving no room for her to disagree, I lean closer to her and kiss her cheek than I wrap my arms around her and pull her into a tight hug. when i pull away i smile softly " It'll just be a week ,have fun" she says.

I turn to my mum "I'm ready to go" she nods and we grab my bags, as we put them in my mums car i turn around and give Josie one last smile "Call me Jo" i Say as my mum drives away, i grab Josie's jumper pulling it up to my head and inhaling her scent - vanilla and roses - i feel my eyes start to drift but before i fall asleep i feel my mum put a blanket over me and turned the music down slightly "night Hope"  "Night mum"...

I feel someone shaking my shoulder slightly "Sweetie, were here wake up" my mum says "5 more minuets" i mumble and turn my head so I'm pressing it further into Josie's jumper "i thought that you wanted to see your Aunts" she says still trying to wake me. Fortunately for my mum the mention of my Aunts woke me up instantly.

We knock on the door of the house I use to call home, I couldn't remember what being home felt like. The door opens and we are met by my Auntie Freya "Holy Shi-"she states but is cut of but someone "NO SWEARING FREYA" was yelled by someone inside of the house "It's good to see you too, and I'm confused on the fact of how you are alive" she states shaking her head slightly as though it would give her the answers. She moves to the side and opens her arms as if to let us in, I walk in and as I do I hear other voices that I'm certain don't belong to either woman in this house, then it clicked "Is Auntie Bex's here?" I question "You better go check" Freya says nodding her head in the direction of the living room "Bloody hell Love, Your the same bloody height as me now" Bex's says pulling me into her embrace " now tell me all the gossip" she says while pulling me down onto the settee next to where we are stood "um... well it's been .... boring?" I say but it sounds more like a question "Okay, lets try this again, hows your love life" i blush brightly but don't say anything "okay, what are you hiding young lady? i will tickle it out of you" she warns and my eyes widen because there is nothing worse than being tickled by Bex its leathal -not literaly- her hands start to move closer to my ribs and i notice that Mum, Keelin, Freya and Nik, i give them a pleading look but before Rebekah's hands touch me i shout "I SURREDER, PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T TICKLE ME" Bex's smile then grew even wider  "okay, spill" i don't give it another thought " okay so you wont like who it is but she has the most beautiful brown eyes and she has a gorgeous smile, her names Josette but most people call her Josie, i call her Jo" i rush out not noticing how shock apeared on my aunts faces "you like girls?" Freya asks. I feel my eyes widening not realising what I said at first "I like a girl, her full name is Josette Olivia Saltzman, she's Alaric and Caroline's Daughter" Rebekah pull a face at Caroline's name but then she looked confused "wait how did Caroline's have a baby? She dead so her body can't have kids" she asks confusion plastered on her face I would have laughed if not for the subject that I was about to talk about " the twins were being sheltered in Josette Laughlin, their biological mother. She carried them up until her and Alaric's wedding day when Kai Parker killed her, the twins somehow transferred to Caroline but Caroline was really I'll because of the twins siphoning from her" everyone had wide eyes and Rebekah almost looked like she had a look of..... Sympathy? Maybe.

"I'm making dinner is there anything you guys specifically want?" Keelin asks while passing Nik over to Freya "No thank you, anything is fine Keelin" then before I knew it Freya came over to me "do you want to hold your cousin?" I look up at her "really can I" I ask although it doesn't sound like it's a question aimed to anyone in particular, she nods and passes the 1 year old baby towards me. His eyes are bright blue - similar colour to mine actually- I hold him and all my thoughts just don't seem important was his giggles make a smile appear on my face....

Sorry this chapter is so short after a long wait but I've got writers block but loads of ideas for different story's but I don't know when the next chapter will be out could be sooner or later but it's been warm where  I live so I want to appreciate it in such an annoying time. Also Black lives matter.
