The car zoomed down the freeway, it's sleek, blue surface reflecting the stars. Anyone outside of the vehicle would have heard the faint sound of Another One Bites the Dust blasting from the speakers, and a grown man singing along. His voice was very out of tune, so much so that it hurt your ears.
Ordinarily, this would have been annoying, but he was your dad, so you didn't mind. You sang along with him, drumming your fingers on the leather interior of the car. Your mother sat in the passenger seat, shaking her head and laughing.
A bag of In-N-Out sat next to you, and you fished around for a french fry. You popped it into your mouth.
"Hey!" your mother scolded. "Save some for the rest of us."
You offered her a fry, causing her to raise an eyebrow. "Are you bribing me?"
You shrugged. "Maybe." She laughed and took the fry.
Turning around in his seat, your dad said, "Hey, Y/N, pass me a fry!"
"Hey! Keep your eyes on the road!" your mom said.
He turned around, but it wasn't fast enough. A black car ran the intersection and slammed into the side of your car.
The next thing you knew, the car was flying through the air. It landed on its back once, then proceeded to keep rolling. Glass flew through the air, slicing everything to shreds. A scream resounded through the air, but you weren't sure if it was yours or someone else's.
You jolted awake to find Kiyoko and Yachi leaning over you. Both girls were wearing long, loose t-shirts and sweat shorts. They were both so pretty... It made your leggings and MyChemicalRomance t-shirt feel inadequate.
"Are you alright, Y/N?" Kiyoko asked. Her glasses started sliding off her nose, and she pushed them back.
"Y-yeah," you stammered. "I'm fine."
Looking at their expressions of concern was too much, so you turned your attention to the surrounding area.
For some unholy reason, the hotel room was Rapunzel themed. The walls were a dark, gentle purple, dotted with the small lights of lanterns. There were three beds, so all of the girls could have their own. It was nice.
You turned so that your legs were dangling over the edge of the bed. "I'm fine," you said. "I think I just need some fresh air."
"Are you sure?" Yachi asked. "Would Coach allow that?"
She looked to Kiyoko, who simply said, "Be back in a few minutes."
"Thanks," you said, gently slipping off the bed and onto the carpeted floor. You grabbed your newspaper jacket and pulled on a pair of jeans over your leggings.
The boys' rooms were nest to yours, and you paused outside of each one. Takeda's room was silent, but you could hear frantic screeching and loud shouts of "HINATA BOKE" and "ROOOOOOLINGUUUUU THUUUNDAAAAA!!" You laughed when you heard Ukai shout, "HINATA DON'T SPIKE THE MINIFRIDGE."
The halls were lonely, but you didn't want to disturb anyone, so you kept walking.
On the hallway walls, clocks advertised it to be 3:13 am.
The witching hour, you thought to yourself. I'm going to get murdered. In the lobby, there was a sign advertising the pool.
"Oh, what the heck," you murmured. "Let's do it." If you were going to get murdered, at least it would be surrounded by the comforting scent of chlorine.
