carnival

it's been a week since me and reid have been together and i hate it.

just then you hear a knock on your door. it sounds like reid's. he has a certain knock and you can tell it's him. you open the door and there he is.

"i hope i'm not interrupting anything. it's just been a while"

"of course not. i've missed you" you step to the side to let him in and close and lock the door behind him.

"i was thinking. there's a carnival in town and i wanted to know if you would like to come with me?" you can tell he's nervous

"of course. tonight?"

"yea i bought two tickets so i was hoping you would say yes" a smile lights up his face

"well let me get ready. give me 10" you rush and put on some leggings and a crop top with some boots. not your normal going out look but it will do. you throw your hair into a messy bun and do some makeup before grabbing your kate spade bag and walking out to where reid is waiting.

"after you" he opens the door for me and unlocks the car

you step into the car and he drives off.

the carnival wasn't too far and the line was quite short to get in. first thing that catches your eye is of course the carousel. you feel a tap on your shoulder and turn around to see emily

"emily what are you doing here" you jolt back

"i could ask the same thing. hey reid. i'm gonna steal your date for a minute"

"don't take too long" he smiles at you

"y/f/n what the hell are you doing out on a date with spencer?!" she's practically yelling at me

"we're just friends em" i fiddle with my thumbs. scared she's gonna catch on

"friends don't give each other a hickey. nice try. how long have y'all been a thing?" her voice is calmed down

"we aren't together yet em"

"yet? so you will be"

"just let's talk abt this later let me enjoy the night" you kiss her cheek and walk over to where reid is standing

"what was that about?"

"she's suspicious about us"

"reid come here" emily won't give up

"comming"

"you better ask her out or i'm killing you myself"

"why else would i have brought her to a carnival" reid smiles

"go get em tiger" and with that reid is shoved back to you and emily has a smirk on her face

"now. can we ride the carousel?"

"of course"
