Calebs POV:
My first instinct is to tell my parents right when we get to my house. But im kinda scared. My mom would probably pass out if she found out Chaz is out of jail and trying to kill me again. So i think im just gonna tell my dad.
"Caleb, what are we gonna do?" Laney asked. You could hear the fear in her voice.
"We're gonna tell my dad." I said.
"Why not your mom?" She aksed.
"because if my mom finds out, she'll probably pass out if she thinks hes after me again. Which isnt completely true." I said.
"Why?" She asked again.
"Because. Now hes after both of us." I said.
"Caleb, im scared." She said with the same fear in her voice. Making it shaky.
"Its okay baby, we'll get through this." I said while grabbing her hand. "Together." I said and kissed her hand.
"Okay but im still scared." She said. We got home and went straight to my dad.
"About what?.." He asked as we followed him into his office. We told him exactly what happened, and about the texts too. He looked so stunned because Chaz got a lifetime sentance in jail.
"Who could come up with 80 million dollars?!" He asked as he put 2 hands on his desk.
"Grandpa could." I said quietly.
"Alyssas real dad?" Dad asked.
"Yeah." I said softly.
"We need to find out. Because he probably stole the money." He said and started to make some phone calls.
"I have an internet search team of hackers who are going to figure this out.. But for the time being, Put these on." He said while unlocking his desk drawer and handing us to bracelets that looked normal, but we couldnt get them on our wrists.
"What are these?" Laney asked.
"They are GPS tracking bracelets, im giving everyone in the family one incase Chaz trys anything so we know where to find you." He said.
"Well why cant we get them on?" I asked.
"I have to unlock them and put them on you guys, so you cant take them off, ever. They're waterproof so you can shower with them on." He said while unlocking mine with his thumbprint and putting it on and locking it again. He did the same to laneys.
"So what if i like, fall into a fire. Then what happens? will it melt?" I asked.
"You ask stupid questions." My dad chuckled.
"You give stupid answers." I said and laughed as he put his bracelet on.
"Okay, you guys can go, but dont tell your mom about this or she'll be in the hospital for passing out again. Im gonna tell her its a family bracelet that we all have." I laughed and we left.
"Lets go iceskating." She randomly said as we sat on the couch.
"Its july?" I said as if i she was stupid. "Wait! I know a place." I smiled and blind folded her and made her come with me.
~A few hours later~
"YOU BROUGHT ME TO ICESKATE IN CANADA?!" She asked if i was literally insane.
"Nooo, i just put a freaking 'welcome to Canada' sign up and made it magically snow." I said. "Yes i brought you to Canada." I laughed.
"I only wanted to go iceskating, we could've done something else, like go get icecream like normal people!" She laughed.
"But you wanted iceskating, i dont feel like going back now. We're already here, and its anything for my princess." I said and kissed her as i picked her up like my princess. "To the icerink!" I said and pointing up at the sky with one hand and had the other on my hip.
"caleb." laney said.
"What?" I asked as i looked down to see her on the floor.
"You dropped me!" She said and started laughing.
"Oh shit.. Sorry." I said and laughed so hard i ended up on the floor next to her.
~at the icerink~
"This is so fun!" She said as we skated. I went to spin her around and i fell, and everything went black.
