THIRD PERSON POV

Ruby Rose came to Beacon to become a huntress just like her mother before her, and yet now the majority of her time isn't getting used up by training or important choices for her future, but rather it gets all spent thinking about the person that has stolen her heart.

Y/N L/N, a man only one year older than Ruby, and yet he isn't here to become a Huntsmen, instead he works for Beacon's massive library, all thanks to a good recommendation by Glynda. He was content living a more simple life, not fighting Grimm or bandits, but keeping the library orderly every day, and then going home to relax and partake in his hobbies.

Now Ruby was stuck in a situation where she had no idea what to do, which in itself made her feel even shyer about it. Of course, she knew about love, crushes, all of those things and how they worked, but she had never actually fallen in love herself before, and though at first she tried to forget about it and simply call it a crush, it quickly became apparent to her that this was much more than that.

She had no one who she could talk to about this, she was too shy to do so, not to mention how awkward it would be, especially if she talked with a friend about this. There was a short moment where she thought about mentioning it to Yang, but then immediately she threw that idea out of her mind and burned it, being one of the worst ideas she possibly ever had.

Not only would Yang be annoying about it and tease her, but she would also be over the top about it, disregarding her shy nature and just pushing her to do it in her own usual loud fashion, AND on top of that, she would be a prude and act like she is some dumb and unaware child that didn't know what a cock was...

...Ruby had a lot of reasons not to tell Yang about this...

With a sigh, the redhead shakes her head and just peers around the corner again, looking at Y/N as he puts some new books on the shelf. She was really glad that the winter break started last week, she'll rather watch him than spend another second listening to one of the teachers.

What the redhead wasn't aware of, is that there were two other women who stood on the other end of the library, both of whom were looking at Y/N while they talked.

Weiss: "It's still surreal to see him again." She said in awe.

Winter: "I know."

Weiss: "To be honest, I'm kinda nervous."

Winter: "You're not the only one, it's been a while, and our last meeting was on somber terms."

Weiss: "You can say that again."

Winter: "I honestly thought we lost him for good when we couldn't find him."

Weiss: "Exactly, I thought I was going to spend my whole time as a Huntress searching for him."

Weiss was about to walk over to him when Winter stopped her.

Winter: "You did finish the office room right? his wing of the mansion must be perfect!"
