"Not," I said, as I lifted a finger to Louie, "one," I felt the vomit rise in my chest and quickly faced the trash bin, "word." I blurted out as the vomit hit the trash bin. I could practically sense him smirking at me as I puked out my guts.
He was standing beside the entrance to the upper part of the Resistance Headquarters. Dewey had wanted to stay, to make sure I was going to be alright, but I told him quickly to go on ahead. Louie wasn't going to leave my side, making good on his vow never to let me out of his sight again, anyway.
No use having two boys as my body guards. Bad enough I already of one.
"You know this is your fault," He said, as I lifted my head up. I wasn't done. I could practically feel more coming up and I groaned. "You encourage him to do some reckless driving, and now look at you, practically puking your guts out cause' of him."
I glared at him before throwing up again.
"What's with you lately?" He continued. "As long as I've known you, you have never once been sick." He said.
I lifted my head up and wiped the left over vomit from my mouth with my sleeve.
" I've read up on everything there is to know about vampires, Louie. From what Huey had lying around the garage, and all I know is," I said, and paused, wondering if I was going to throw-up again. "That I didn't start this until after Scrooge drank my blood."
Louie glared down at the ground.
"Regular vampires." He grumbled.
"What?" I snapped.
For some reason I was getting irritated, and a bit bothered by the way he was acting. Which wasn't knew, he always acted like this, so why was it bothering me all of a sudden?
"You've read only what we keep on regular vampires," Louie said, looking up at me. "Have you tried reading about soul sucking ones?" He asked.
"N, No." I admitted. I hadn't even thought there was a section of soul sucking vampires. Considering we were really rare.
"Why don't you read up on some vampire lore while you are here?" Louie asked as I headed for the entrance after I was just I was done vomiting. I paused with my hand on the door and looked back at him. He looked back at me with worried eyes and my heart melted. "We have a series of books, thanks to Violet, on the subject in our archives." He told me.
"Archives?" I repeated, "I've only read what Huey had lying around the garage, and you guys have this whole other archive?" I asked, staring at him in disbelief.
"Yeah, well, it's not that impressive." He said, rubbing the back of his head and smiling at me sheepishly.
"You're just stalling so I won't have to leave with Nico, later, aren't you?" I asked, suspiciously.
"Maybe." Louie answered, as I opened the door.
"You can't stop that from happening, Louie." I told him, gently. "I made a deal with Scrooge, remember?" I asked, as pop electric music blared over the loud speakers.
"Made one with the devil." Louie grumbled, as he looked straight ahead and narrowed his eyes. I smiled softly at him.
"You know it was the only way he'd let me leave." I told him as we walked through the hang out part of the headquarters.
I was vaguely aware that others were pointing and whispering at us as we passed. Some of the girls even snarled their upper bill at me as Louie continued to walk behind me. I rolled my eyes. First Dewey, then Louie?
