Hermione's POV:
I can't believe Harry lost his memory, it's just incredible! I knew what I had to do, and it was going to hurt me pretty bad, but I had to start over with him. He shook my hand.
"Well, want to go for a walk by the Lake?" I asked.
"Sure, what's the Lake?"
"It's just a pool of water by a plot of land, come with me."
"Okay?" He said and walked with me.
On the way there, we meet Ron and Rain in the corridor.
"What happened to you?" He asked, coming over to us.
"Who is that strange man?" Harry asked in my ear. I laughed and looked at Ron.
"Harry, this is Ron, Ron, this is Harry," I said and looked at Ron with a just-go-with-it look. He seemed to have gotten the message because he shook Harry's hand, and said,
"Nice to meet you."
"Harry, just wait right here," I said. He looked around, but realized I was probably talking to him and nodded.
"What the bloody hell is wrong with him?" Ron asked anxiously.
"Well, you see, it's a funny story. Harry wanted to teach me how to fly a broom, so we went there, and I was hesitating, but we eventually got up. He rode me around and it went smoothly, but when I took control, I lost it. It went berserk and we both flew off the broom, and Harry now has amnesia and short-term memory loss," I said sadly.
"Re-?"
"Hey, Hermon! I see this thing over here, it looks like a dead animal.." Harry was pointing at the Hufflepuff badger banner in the Great Hall. I was about to die of laughter. The Hufflepuffs walking to their classes scowled at him, and he gave them a bewildered look, which only made me laugh harder.
"See? He doesn't even remember magic!" I said.
"Brilliant," Ron said sarcastically.
"Listen, I'm sorry. You need to help me with Harry, I am really sorry, but I love Harry."
"I've got that, and I'm sorry as well," his ears went red.
"Seems you've got Rain now, though." He grinned.
"Alright," he agreed.
"Thank you so much!" I said happily and hugged him.
"Hey!" Harry said with a hint of jealousy in his voice, what was that?
"Hm, does he remember you whatsoever?" Ron asked.
"I think he's developing a little 'crush' on me now," I said beaming at Harry, he was starting slowly to remember.
"Ooooh," Ron said with interest.
"Ron!" He remembered Ron's name, odd.
"Yeah?" Ron walked over to Harry, and they looked as if they were having a conversation. I caught a couple of words in their conversation. I finally decided to go over there.
"Hey!" Harry said and put his arm around my shoulder.
"So, want to go for that walk now?" I said.
"Sounds like a plan," said Harry.
He was missing. This wasn't my Harry, I missed my Harry. I sighed.
"So, what else do I have? I mean, tell me about myself," he said suddenly.
And we talked and talked for hours on, laughing about nothing in particular, I felt the real Harry's presence then, but he would then ask me my name again, and I would lose all hope. "You're beautiful," he said happily.
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah," he said.

He says some stupid things when he doesn't have his memory. I brought dinner down to the lake, and we ate there together. He recognized trees and the castle the tiniest bit, but he didn't remember anything about magic or anyone he actually knew, when we saw Ginny and Draco, he literally said in my ear,
"That blond looks like a girl, is it?"
For Ginny he said, "Oh, is that the old lady who works at Ice Cream Palace?" I was so confused I was in a fit of giggles and told Harry everything about them.
"Oh, she's my other girlfriend?"
"Your old girlfriend," I pointed out jealously, he was staring at her!
"Then, who's my new girlfriend?" He asked.
"Oh, no one, yet," I said quietly.
"Great," he said happily.
"So, tell me more about that sport they call 'Quidditch.' Rob was telling me all about it," he said. I laughed when he called Ron 'Rob.'
"I don't know much, but I could tell you you're the best player on the Gryffindor team," I said in awe.
"Really?" Harry said, "Robby told me that he was the best player on the team."
"Ron, always being humble," I laughed.
"You don't, like him, do you?" He asked me apprehensively.
"No, not at all," I said, feeling my face go hot, this was like having a new beginning.
"Brilliant," he muttered under his breath.

Weeks passed by, he ended up calling Ginny 'Gonny' and Draco 'Dragon.'
I laughed, he changed names like every five seconds, I kept positive about this. Harry kept giving me small signs about liking me. Like I remember a couple for example:
"Wow, are you popular? You should be."
"You need to date someone who deserves you, Hermione."
"You can't just go around and tell yourself you're not beautiful." I was telling him about how people bullied me in my younger years,
He remembered my name now! Sometimes he would say 'Hermon' because he would forget, but it still meant a lot.

I was getting more excited everyday, I would always pray the next day he would get his memory back, and it obviously didn't work, but I still did it.
"So, you starting to remember anything?" I asked at Christmas.
"Sort of," he said dismally.
I remember Ron asking me what I wanted for Christmas this year, and I would always say, "I want Harry to remember me." I knew it wouldn't happen.
Ron ended up getting me books on Quidditch, spells, and more so I could teach Harry.
I was grateful, I hugged Ron in the common room, and Harry saw.
"Oi!" I laughed and whispered to Ron,
"He remembers some of me." And Ron would nod happily.
"Thank you." I said and started to cry happy tears into his chest.
After a little while, I ended up feeding Harry all sorts of odd candies from Honeydukes, we were now going to try Every Flavour Beans.
"Ew! I got liver!" He said disgustedly and spit it into a goblet we borrowed from the Great Hall.

McGonagall knew and was devastated, she would ask for daily updates on him.
I always thanked her and walked off, as she cared a lot about him as well.
I continued and grabbed a green bean, and recoiled, but put it in my mouth.
"Eeeew! I got bogey flavoured!" I spit it into my goblet. Harry was doubled over in laughter.
"Oh, shut up, liver face," I mocked and he rolled his eyes.
He grabbed what looked like a reddish bean and put it in his mouth.
"Blegh! It's spicy! Peppers!" He spit it into his goblet and it was my turn to laugh.

After a little while, we went to the Christmas feast together, and he held my hand tightly, and we saw Ron and Rain sitting together.
"She looks like a bird," Harry said so Rain could hear, she scowled at him.
I held in a laugh and turned to Harry,
"That's your other old girlfriend." He looked disgusted, which made me happy.
"Why would I ever date a bird?"
"I dunno."
He gave me a sad look, and started serving himself food, but he dropped the potatoes in realizing he had no idea what they were.
"Take it, you'll like it," I said, putting it on his plate.
"Okay," he said looking at it with a bewildered look.
He took a bite. "It's good!"
"Thought so," I smiled.
We ate in silence and didn't talk until we got back to the common room.
"I'm exhausted!" Harry said and came over to me.
"Thanks for helping me," he kissed my forehead and walked upstairs.
"Woah."
That was amazing, I haven't felt that in weeks, I missed that.
That was my Harry.
