the past two months i've been taking weekends off and hanging out with noah it's been super fun to get to know his family every weekend

i know it's a long drive but we could plan a trip to the niagara falls i think our friendship is strong enough for a road trip

we can always go to the city too and maybe save a road trip for the future

you're such a karen jk but why don't you wanna go on a trip

i have work and i'm hanging out with alaina soon so i can't be gone

noah
oh ok that's totally fine

we could go to the statue of liberty and stuff and we could totally go on a road trip a different time i promise

noah
that sounds fun come over to my house and we can leave from here

i set my phone down and do the normal getting ready thing i stop by connors grave and before i know it i'm at noahs once we get inside meghan ran over to chloe and chloe had a genuine smile
"she always tells me meghans the little sister we never had" noah says coming over to me
"that's sweet" i say
i start walking to noahs room like i live here
"hey what if we have a sleepover" noah says
"that would be fun"
"yeah"
"i'll call my mom" i say
i walk out the room and call her my phone rings for a bit until my mom picks up
"what do you want"
"i'm gonna do the night shift today" i say
"ok whatever just make sure meghan sleeps" she says slurring her words
"yeah ok bye"
"bye"
she hangs up i turn around and noah is right behind me i jump
"why'd you tell your mom you're working" noah asks
"oh she would never let me stay the night anywhere especially at a guys" i say
"oh ok" noah says
"yeah so like are we leaving soon" i ask
"yeah we can leave now, i'll drive" noah says
"ok cool"
we walk over to his car
"i call music" i say
"fine your songs are lowkey growing on me though" he says and i laugh
we're singing my music as loud as we can until i realize something
"wait a minute we live in the same area so why have i never seen you at school" i say looking over at noah
"well i just moved here a year and a half ago and after my grandma died i kinda homeschooled for a bit and now it's summer so yeah" he says
"we're definitely not in the same grade are we" i say
"probably not" he says laughing
"i'm a junior" i say
"and i'm a senior" he says
"well back to singing terribly" i say smiling and he smiles back before we break into another song
before we know it we arrived in the city and parked in some underground parking area. we start walking to the ferry boats and buy tickets to get on one to get to the statue of liberty.
we were very obnoxious the whole ride and i felt pretty bad because there was an old couple next to us they decided to talk to us
"hi there sweetie what's your name" she asks
"i'm clarissa and this is noah what is your name" i say
"i'm rose and this is edward we were just like you both when we were younger you are such a cute couple" she says
my eyes widen
"oh uh we aren't a couple" i say
"yeah we're just friends" noah says
"oh sorry you guys would be cute though" she says
"it's fine" noah says
"you guys are a very nice couple though" i tell her
"thank you honey"
after that convo we were quiet the rest of the ride once we got off noah and i burst out laughing
"a couple?" i barely say still laughing
"i know right" noah says
we were barely able to control our laughter
we run up to the entrance and take some photos before we enter
"we should go all the way up to the crown" noah says
"that's so high up" i say
"it'll be fun" he says
"finee" i say dragging out the e
we go into the elevator and it takes us to the stairs
he grabs my arm and drags me up the stairs
"you're going so fast" i say laughing again
"yeah if we go slow we won't get to the top before everyone else" he says
"we're gonna be so tired by the end of this" i say
"well at least we'll have fun" he says smiling
after 20 minutes we finally made it to the top it was gorgeous noah took photos of me and i took photos of him we also took some selfies and we asked people to take photos of us together. we stayed up there for maybe an hour then we decided to head down.
"today was so much fun" i say
"it's not even over yet stupid we still have the car ride back and the whole sleepover" noah says
"oh right" i say
"you're so forgetful" noah says
"i know"
once we got off and rode the ferry boat back to land we headed to the car and noah drove back i was sleeping most of the ride since i was tired from climbing all those stairs once we got back i was awake and full of energy
"we should pull an all nighter" i say
"are you sure you'll stay up that late you always fall asleep after like 3 because that's when you stop texting at night" noah says
"if we drink coffee i got this" i say smiling
"ok then" he says
