I looked at the horizon which were now tinted in brilliant red and orange, the last sun rays for today were peeking over the wispy clouds that scattered in the vast sky. I smoothed my hand over the short bright-green grass beside me, feeling their smooth blades tickle my palm. A soft sigh escaped my lips as I gazed at my childhood home below me while I sit atop of the highest hill in our land. I tried my best to engrave everything, to the sound of the children's laughter, the stone houses that always emit warmth in the village, and the wonderful smell, and vivid colors of our land. My land.

As of today, I will be travelling to the Moon Kingdom since I was elected as the new clan leader of the Amsalja Clan or rather known as the East Dragon Clan. As per our tradition, the new leader should pay their respect to the Supreme Celestial Gods and that includes the God of the Moon and the Sun Kingdom. No matter how much I would like to delay my journey, my father has already made arrangements and informed the consort of the Moon God of our arrival. So I have no choice but to go.

"Hyung," a deep voice called out to me.

I tore my gaze at the village and settled them to the familiar figure standing near me. Like always, my little brother can come and go without being noticed, that, or I was just busy with my own thoughts. "Hmm?" I replied.

"Father says, we should get ready."

"We?" I asked in surprise."I thought I was going alone?"

"Father says you might get lonely or worse, get into trouble there so I'm to travel with you," he said with a wide meaningful smile.

I studied him as he raised one of his thick eyebrows at me, framing his dark ebony eyes which were gleaming with delight. He tilted his head on one side that emphasized his chiseled jaw as if he was waiting for my response. My younger brother, Lucas, was indeed too handsome to be in the clan of dragon assassins. He stood out too much like a sore good-looking thumb.

"Who says, I'll be lonely?" I finally replied to him, masking my amusement behind a frown.

"You can get sentimental," he pointed out.

Feeling that our conversation will led to nowhere, I sighed again and extended my arm towards him. He took it without hesitation and pulled me up from my seat under the tree. "Fine," I muttered to him before pulling his head in a headlock.

A few minutes of walking down the hill and we were already greeted by some of our men. They wore hooded jackets and black masks that covered half of their faces. Partnered with black resilient tight-fitting pants, guaranteed not to rip which was crucial for our stealthy moves.

The Amsalja Clan were made of dragon assassins who serve Supreme Celestial Gods since time immemorial. We were tasked to eliminate anyone who opposed the celestial rule and spy on potential traitors. Swift and lethal was our motto. And now as the new clan leader, it's now my duty to form and seal our alliance with the Celestial Gods, in order to secure the clan's future and immunity.
