Author's POV

Sophia scrambles as she hears the loud bang of her alarm. Just another 30 mins. and she will be late. Again.

Luckily she made it to the school grounds before the gate closes. She then continues to stride and barely making it insode their room right before the bell rings. She then took her seat only to find out that Allfred was nowhere to be found. Their class adviser then entered and started the class.

"Good morning class!" She greeted enthusiastically and made her way to her table.

"Good morning ma'am." Everyone greeted her casually.

"As you can see, Mr. Mandaue is absent this morning for some emergency." 'Weird' that's the only word Sophia could think of. She just shrugged her thoughts.

"Anyways. I still have another news for you guys. We will have another transfer student. Wait here as I call him." Ms. Romina opened the door and called the new student.

"You may now enter!" She excitingly ask.

"Hi guys! I'm Nicholi Andrews. Nice meeting you all and I hope to be close to you all!" Nicholi greeted them with a smile. He's tall, totally opposite of Alfred. He have jet black hair, shorter than Alfred's. Definitely cheerful.

"'Kay! Nicholi you may take vacant seat near Sophie." Ms. Romina pointed to Sophie's seat. Nicholi bowed and thanked her as he walk toward Sophie. Sophie tapped his shoulder and asked Nicholi to get near her.

"You should take the next vacant seat. Not the one at my back. It's already taken." She whispered and smiled at Nicholi. Nicholi, nodded and mumbled, "Thanks!" He then took his seat. Then the classes started. Eveything seemed slower for Sophie this day. She would glare at her girl classmates when she gets disturbed by their constant mumbles and giggles as they look at Nicholi. She easily gets irritated.

After hours of classes the bell rang. Making Sophia's tummy hungry. She then stood up but she was stopped from walking when Nicholi grabbed her wrist.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! That was rude for me to do." He apologized while picking up his bag.

"No it's fine I don't really mind. What can I do for you?" She asked clamly.

"Well sorry again. I would like, if it is possible, can I come with you to the canteen. I mean if only you don't mind. I still kind of, you know, not familiar with the school's facility." He answered while rubbing the nape of his head while looking down.

     "Sure I don't mind. So, let's go?"

"Sure!" The exited the room passing their classmates. They where chatting while walking to the canteen.

"So why did you transferred here?" Shphia asked Nicholi. Breaking the cold atmosphere.

"For someone. That's all I can say." He smiled and looked at Sophia. Sophia smiled back.

     "Special someone?"

"Very Special." His jolly voice was replaced by a sad tone. "Hey I've been talking about myself a lot for a while. You haven't even told yours. Sophie, can I call you that?"

"Sure you can call me Sophie." She agreed. "Nothing so special about my life. You know, waking up going to school. Maybe the only things I consider special was bei g a part of a club." She sighed and shrugged.

     "Spill the beans Sophie."

"Well I've been a member of the school newspaper club. And I can tell you. No secrets that my club couldn't reveal." Both of them laughed at Sophia's statement.

      "Hey Nicholi-"

"Call me Niko. That's way more comfortable." He suggested and Sophia just nodded as she agrees.

"So Niko, do you write. I mean if you do you can send a piece, maybe you could be a part of the club." Sophie suggested. "Oh we're here already. Let's talk about that while taking our lunch." Niko said. Sophia just nodded.
