"Hurry up!" I called to my mom. We were going into the city for a convention. I had managed to talk my way out of it, so I was visiting my friend Kayla.
"Right here!" Mom called walking down the hall with her maids swarming around her, putting any last minute touches on. "Thank you." She said and dismissed them.
We walked out and stepped into a car. Once inside, my mother instructed the driver to take us to Kayla's house and then to the convention.
Kayla was a two. My dad was still working on dissolving the castes and hadn't reached the twos or threes yet so those labels remained.
As we pulled up to the house you could see paparazzi everywhere. Two men were waiting and the block the crowds with large umbrellas as I made my way inside Kayla's house. "Kayla?" I called
"Eadlyn!" A shout came from the back room and Kayla was running at me, blond hair flying and a glimmer in her eyes. "Oh I've missed you!" She said hugging me.
I hugged her back and looked around the house. Everything was the same I knew we would have a good day.
"How have you been?" She asked "People must have known you were coming because we couldn't get out of the house! Every time I put a toe out of the door I was bombarded with question." She laughed
I smile "It's the usual." I say, then hearing footsteps I turn around. "Oh my gosh." I say
