(A/N: I decided to right something more fluffier as it's Taka's birthday! Non-despair au.)
(Third person pov)
Mondo crept back in the house trying not to alarm Taka.
"Where were you, you were out for- What's behind your back?" Taka asked
"..Promise you won't get mad.." Mondo replied
"...I promise, now please show me."
Mondo showed Taka a small white puppy, it seemed to be pretty thin and there were small patches of dirt littering it's fur.
"Mondo why do you have a dog!?" Taka yelled taken a back
"Listen it was raining outside and the poor thing was alone.. Can we keep them?" Mondo pleaded
"I- okay fine we can keep them as long as you give it a bath, they're pretty muddy ."
"Yes! Okay I'll give it a bath and them we should probably get the proper things to take care of them."
Taka sighed as Mondo rushed off, although he certainly wasn't expecting a dog it could've been worse and besides it would be nice to have some company.
(Time skip)
"I'm done!" Mondo yelled from the bathroom
"Oh good, have you thought of a name?" Taka asked
"hmm, how about socks?"
"Not bad"
