Awkward or Outgoing

Guys always say "I like girls who are outgoing, confident, and overall fun to be around." And it makes me feel really hopeless cause I'm not any of those things by any means and it definitely doesn't help my confidence. I dunno.

I'm the kind of person that needs the other person to talk to me first and be outgoing but those kinds of people are usually ones that like girls to be outgoing like them.

But alas, I'm not outgoing or talkative, I'm awkward and shy and I really hate that about myself and ugh this frusterates me. I wish I wasn't so afraid and awkward and shy, you know?
