it had been a few days since muffins met draco. whenever she thought of him her cheeks would turn bright red. muffins knew draco was only her friend, not even a friend, more of an acquaintance. she sighed and got the piece of paper off her drawer and began to open it, revealing draco's phone number. she grabbed her phone and within an instant and started dialing the numbers that were written on the paper. she tapped her foot while she waited for him to pick up.
"hello?" draco questioned. muffins gulped and said "uh, hey. it's me muffins."
"the girl i met at the park a few days ago?" draco asked.
"yeah that's me. i just wanted to call and say hi," muffins responded.
"well hi! what've you been up to?" draco asked in a sweet tone.
muffins responded with, "nothing really, just feeding my cats and i dyed my strips again. they're still red, just needed to bleach the roots."
"show me!" draco pleaded.
"i wish. my camera is broken. maybe-" draco then proceeded to interrupt muffins and say, "show me in person now. it's not like i'm busy or anything. we can meet up at that same park and hang out for a while."
"okay then. i'm not busy either so i guess i'll meet you there in ten?"
"yeah. sounds good. see you soon."
draco hung up first and muffins looked at her phone, reading the words "call ended."muffins changed her outfit putting on an oversized collared red sweatshirt, black skirt, almost knee high socks, and to top it off, a gold chain necklace. she rushed downstairs almost falling opening the door.
"hey! where are you going?" muffins father asked.
"out," muffins responded. muffins almost slammed the door because she was running so quickly. when the door shut, her father blinked and sighed. muffins grabbed her bike and pedaled as fast as possible to the park. exactly ten minutes had passed by and she was there. she biked quickly down the path where the bench was. and there she was, five feet away from draco. she set her bike down and proceeded to say, "ello draco."
"well hello muffins. you got here fast," draco responded.
"yeah i know. you told me to meet you in ten so i made it here in exactly ten minutes," muffins said.
"quite impressive," draco said in a flirty tone. muffins rolled her eyes at draco but then asked, "want to get some ice cream? i know an ice cream shop right down the street."
"yeah, i'd love to. your hair looks really nice by the way," draco said.
muffins smiled and thanked him. they rode their bikes together to the ice cream shop and managed to get there in five minutes.muffins and draco set their bikes down on the bike rack and walked into the ice cream shop. the shop smelled like vanilla and fudge, making muffins and draco hungry. muffins walked up to the front, draco following her. the cashier greeted them and muffins and draco began to tell the cashier what flavor of ice cream they wanted. they both got the same thing, which was vanilla swirl. draco paid for both of the ice creams and muffins thanked him. they walked outside and sat at the table right outside the shop. they licked their ice cream pretty quickly and finished in five minutes. "that was good," draco said. muffins smiled and said, "yeah. sure was." they got up and decided to bike around a little more and went down by another river. muffins got off her bike and took a moment to look and mesmerize the river. draco thought she looked beautiful and asked a slightly weird question. "i see you have a polaroid. can i take a picture of you?" muffins spun herself around and glanced at draco. "ew no," she said in a disgusted tone. draco rolled his eyes at her.
"can we take a picture together then?" draco asked.
"i guess," muffins responded sighing. muffins handed him her polaroid and then draco held the polaroid high. muffins held up the peace sign and draco winked.
"you look stupid," muffins said laughing.
"oh and you think you don't?" draco asked chuckling. muffins and draco kept laughing together until they fell. the picture was so stupid but extremely cute at the same time. "i love it. we're keeping it," muffins said holding the picture.draco and muffins spent the rest of the evening taking many polaroid pictures and laughing with each other. it was already dark outside but they continued biking and laughing. they found a gazebo next to a forest and sat there looking at the pictures together. they thought they were stupid but you could tell they were enjoying their time. the pictures gave off such a happy feeling and although the two of them have only known each other for a short amount of time, it felt like they knew each other for ages. muffins was just so confused on how even before she met him he was in her dreams. she thought it was probably some weird coincidence. her father texted her telling her to come home but she didn't want to go back home. draco told her it would be okay and they could meet up again in a few days. muffins sighed and nodded. she thanked him for the time they spent together and biked home.
