I was dimly aware of Emily entering the room. I curled into a tighter ball. There was noise. It stopped. I was being hugged. The pressure felt nice.
"I'm here." I heard. I wanted to say something, wanted to show appreciation, anything. All I could do was be held and cry.

I made a small noise and shifted. Emily squeezed my hand. I squeezed back. "Couch?"
I squeezed twice. She teleported us to the couch. "Sherlock?" I nodded. She turned the TV on and walked to the kitchen, coming back with a glass of water. "Can you drink this please?"
I took a few sips and attempted to smile to say thank you. It looked more like a grimace but she understood.
"It's fine. Do you want monkey?"
I nodded again and she hopped up and walked to the bedroom, coming back with my monkey squish. I squeezed it to my chest, rubbing my face against it. It was soft.
"Do you want anything else? Cuddles? Or I can leave." I moved closer and she held me. We stayed like that for a few minutes before I tapped her on the leg, holding my hand to my ear in the shape of a phone. "Okay. One sec."
She came back and handed me my phone.
Thank you I sent. Emily smiled. "That's okay."
I smiled. It was small and didn't look like a smile, but it was a smile. I typed another message.
Thank you for being my queerplatonic girlfriend even though you have to put up with my shutdowns and sensory overload and vocal stimming and everything else it really means a lot
"That's okay. And I can be annoying too, but you let me be myself. You desrve that too."
Thank you
For staying
And for understanding
And for always being nice to me
"That's okay."
I love you
Emily pressed a gentle kiss to the top of my head. "I love you too."
Can we watch the first episode
Emily let out a small snort. "Of course."
