When I woke up the next morning, I was in my bed. When I went to get up, I stepped on something. When I looked down, it was Jeff. I hopped over him and went downstairs.
Everybody was downstairs, running around. "What's going on?" I asked the nearest person. "Jeff's missing." It was Sally. "No, he's up in my room, he fell asleep on the floor." BEN stopped and turned around. He looked at me, which kinda made me nervous. He turned back around and went upstairs. "What is his problem?" "He likes you." Sally said, happily. I looked at her with wide eyes and an open mouth. "Close your mouth, something's gonna fly in." she said laughing. I smiled and went outside to look around. I found a bench outside, not too far from the house. I really should have brought my notebook, it's beautiful out here. "Here." When I looked up, it was Jeff, with my notebook. "Oh, thanks." I took it and he sat down beside me. "What are you doing out here?" His speech never failed to spike my interest. "Just needed some air I guess." He slouched on the bench and before I knew it, he was asleep. He was so calm and statuesque. I just had to draw him, before he wakes up and finds me.
After I finished, it looked like he was waking up. So, I shut my notebook and stood up. When he woke up he looked up at me. "What?" "Are you coming in? I didn't want to leave you alone out here." "Uh, yeah. I'm coming." We walked up to the house and stood outside for a while longer. "Come on. I have something to show you." he said, grabbing my hand. He pulled me behind the house up to a tree with a ladder. I looked up and found a tree house. "Awesome." I said under my breath. "You can come here any time you want, okay?" "That's so cool, thanks." I said hugging him. He tensed up, and I backed up. "Sorry." I said walking away. I got back to the house and ran to my room.
When I got to my room, I threw myself onto my bed. Holding my notebook closer and closer I thought about him. I can't be getting feelings for him. I'm not gonna get hurt again, forget about it! I got up and put my notebook into a drawer and walked out. When I walked out, I bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorr..." I trailed off, it was a purple girl. "Watch where you're going." "Sorry." She seems very rude. "Don't pay any mind to her, she just has a lot of anger inside her." When I turned around to see who was there, at first I didn't see anybody. Then he stepped out from behind a door frame. It was BEN. "What are you talking about?" I asked him. "Nothing. Hey, you wanna come play videogames with us?" I thought about it for a little while. "Yeah sure."
When we got downstairs it was all the guys, Masky, Hoodie, EJ, and Jeff. I stopped at the door, I'm gonna trick them now. "Hey you guys wanna make a bet?" I asked. They all stopped and looked back at me. "Like what?" EJ asked. "Like, if I win against all of you, then you guys have to do something for me." I said. "Okay. But we're playing Call of Duty." EJ said. "What? Fine!" Haha, I have them now. First was of course EJ. I took it easy on him and beat him by one point. "Ugh! I already lost." he said. Next was Masky, I beat him by a landslide, he is really bad at that game. Hoody was a breeze. "That leaves only Jeff and BEN." EJ said. Jeff sat down beside me, and grabbed the controller. "Let's go." he said. It went on for a while with a tie, but I came out the victor. He jumped up and threw the controller down. "I never lose!" "Calm down, it's just a game." BEN said. "Now is the moment of truth! The final round!" EJ announced. BEN sat down and started playing, but they don't know that I'm very good at this game. One minute in I won, of course. "Woah, you're really good at this game!" BEN said. "Duh, I love this game." I said laughing. "You tricked us." EJ said, devastated. "Sorry, but you tricked me first. I've never been high in my life, and you ruined that record." I said walking away. My eyes were turning red, anger. I ran upstairs with Jeff right behind me. "Are you okay?" he asked. "No not really, but stay back, I'm kinda off balance." I said. Before I could reach my room, my eyes turned green and I hit the floor. I really wish I could control this crap!
I don't remember much from that last time. I'm getting worried.
When I came back around, Jeff was holding me in the hallway. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah, but I need to talk to Slenderman." I said standing back up.
If I'm right, he'll know what to do.
Jeff took me to Slenderman's office, but he wasn't there. So I just sat down in one of the chairs in his office.
I guess I fell asleep because when I opened my eyes again, Slenderman was sitting right in front of me. Even when he didn't have a face and could see the smile on his face. "Hello young one. Did you get enough sleep?" he asked. "Yeah, I suppose." I said sitting up. "What is it child?" he asked standing up. "Um... my name's Raighn. I have a question, or really a lot of questions." "Yes?" "Well, I have this power, but I don't know how to control it. What do I do?" He looked at me for a while, then sat back down and took out his phone. He stood back up and walked to the door. "Stay here child." Then he stepped out. I could hear him talking on the phone to someone, but I didn't hear distinct voices.
When he came back in, he sighed. He slowly sat back down and turned towards me. "You are the last of your kind child. I expect you to be the best. We have found some information about your family, before the fire." I hope I didn't look like a freak with my eyes wide and mouth open. I could feel his eyes on me. "So it's just me, what happened to my family before the fire?" I asked. "That is for you to find out child." "Please call me by my name." I said as kindly as I could. "Raighn, you're the last I expect you to train with the rest of us." he said standing up. I want to understand all of this. "How do I control it?" I asked as he pushed me to the door. "You cannot Raighn." he said simply.
After I came from Slenderman's office I went to my room. On the bed there layed my sketch of Jeff when he was sleeping, with a note beside it. 'I knew you were up to something. Meet me outside in about an hour.' It's been pretty much an hour, so I rushed outside. When I got outside I didn't see anyone at first. So I sat down and waited for a while longer.
I find myself falling asleep way too often, one day someone is going to steal me. I woke up and found Jeff sitting beside me. "I thought you were gone again." he said. "Nah, just really tired all of a sudden." He looked at me and smiled. "Do you want to see something cool?" he asked. "Sure." I looked back at the house when a noise came from it. When I looked back at Jeff, it wasn't Jeff. He had brown hair and blue eyes. "This is my human cover." he said excitedly. "I like you better the other way." "Really?" "Yeah, do you wanna see my true form?" I asked.
Sorry for the cliff hanger ending to this chapter. I don't have much time today. I'll update tomorrow!! :P Bananas!
