So Connor Franta came out as gay a few weeks ago. All I can say is that I'm so fucking proud of him for actually telling all of us because that takes so much courage to do. I'm just so happy for him because now he doesn't have to hide it anymore, he can just be who he is. I just want him to be happy with himself.
First off, i'd like to state something. I 100% support gay rights. But you know what? "Gay rights" are fucking stupid. Gay people are humans too. Just because they like the same gender doesn't mean that they should have any different rights than anybody else. If straight people are allowed to get married, then gay people should be allowed to get married too. Not because of "gay rights" but because they are people just like everybody else. And people, no matter what gender they like, should have the same rights as everybody else. They should be able to like, date, and marry who ever the hell they want.
People always go on about equality but if people are really equal then why do we even classify others? Why do we call people 'Gay' just because they like the same gender? Why do we classify sexuality at all? Why do we classify race? Why do we classify anything? All it does is make people feel like shit for being themselves. We're all people and people should have equal rights, even if they want to fuck someone who is the same gender. It shouldn't matter if you're gay, or bi, or a certain race, or a certain religion, or whatever. You're still human and people need to see that.
No that I've said that, lets talk about Connor. I love Connor so much and he makes me so fucking happy. I'm not going to just stop loving him because he's gay. And honestly, if you do start hating him just because he's gay, you can fuck off. He's still the same Connor that he was a week ago. He's still the same Connor he was a year ago. Nothing has changed. And if you're too think headed to see that then just stop watching his videos.
I'm so happy that almost everybody supports Connor because it probably took a shit ton of courage to even make that video. He deserves the best. I'll always love an support Connor and him liking guys doesn't change that.
