Sick and Sneezy

A/N: I wasn't a big sick person before I wrote this for a request (more into allergies) but now I'm more into it 😳

Sam woke up feeling stuffy and just generally... off. He was used to feeling gross because of allergies, but he felt weak and lethargic, and he knew exactly what that meant. He wrapped himself in a blanket and waddled into the kitchen where Jaiden was making coffee. "Hey, babe I- hea- h- think- th- h- HNNKCH!" Sam was cut off by an uncharacteristically strong sneeze. "I think I might be sick..." he rubbed his nose, desperately trying to fight the itch. "Oh my god, you sound awful... let me make you some tea real quick, and don't forget to call in sick. There's no way you're going to work like this." "O-Oh.. ok. I'm gonna go lay dow- HNNNCHK!" He sniffled his way to the living room and made himself a human burrito of blankets. Jaiden followed shortly after with a cup of steaming tea that emitted a vanilla aroma. "I mixed some honey in it in case your throat is sore... but not too much, I made sure it wasn't too sweet." He set it down, kissing Sam on the forehead. "Nooo... don kiss me.. you'll ged sigck.." he drowsily whined. "I'll be fine, I don't get sick as easily as you. Plus, your lips are the most sensitive skin on the human body (or something like that...)- I had to see if you had a fever somehow. Which you don't, by the way." 

Jaiden snuggled into Sam's shoulder, cuddling up under the blankets as they drifted off to sleep together.

Jaiden woke up before Sam and gently got up, trying not to disturb his lover. He checked his phone- 2:12 pm. He fell asleep for and hour without realizing it. "Hey sleepyhead, I'm gonna make some soup for lunch" he whispered to Sam. Sam blinked awake, mumbling something inaudible in response. 

Jaiden searched around the pantry for a few soup cans, opening the tomato bisque and pouring it into a bowl. He set it in the microwave and grabbed a spoon. "Here you go, hopefully it's not too hot! Anyways, is there something you want to watch? I can turn it on for you." "mm.. minecrafd videos." Sam replied. "Alright," Jaiden smiled, turning on the TV and putting on youtube. "Mmrph.. hih- ah- gh- HNNCH'EW!" Sam grumbled, snot dripping down down from his rosy nose. "I'll get you some tissues, one sec. Usually your sneezes aren't that powerful..." Jaiden mumbled as he went and grabbed a box of tissues. "H-heh- HNCHK! HNNCKW!  HT'KSSHH!  Noo.. It s- still-h- ti- HaH- ckl- heh-ATCHI'EW! kA'TSHEWW!" He tried desperately to stifle the messy sneezes, but the fit conquered him. He was used to nonstop fits from allergies, so this slightly shorter fit was a relief. He blew his nose and sat upright with a groan. "Yeah... I'm used to allergies bud i dond ged sigck as often..." "Oof, I'll grab some cold medicine. Is there anything else you need? Your wish is my command. Icecream? More tissues? Carry you into bed?" Jaiden kissed him on the forehead again, ruffling his hair. "I'm okay... hehh- r-riigh- now haah- hehh-k'tshIEW!" He pulled his head away just in time to avoid spraying all over his boyfriend. "Bless you. Oh! Cold medicine. On it." He got up and headed to the bathroom.

Jaiden returned with cold medicine and set it next to Sam's empty soup bowl. "I wouldn't take that quite yet, it'll knock you out." He warned, snuggling next to him. They spent the night watching youtube, as Sam explained what the people were doing on Minecraft through a stuffy nose. 

 When he woke up, Jaiden felt sore. At first he though maybe he slept wrong or something, but when he noticed how runny his nose was, there was no doubt about it. He had definitely caught a cold from Sam. 'Shit!' he thought, slowly getting up off the couch. His usual routine of getting up and making coffee was interrupted by a strong tickle. "Huf- Hah- Damn i-ih- It- Nnx'gSHH! In'gsh!! Hnn'gtt!!" He tried hard to stifle, pinching his nose, but he was suddenly surprised with an extreme itch in his nose. "H-HHaa'ekkSHIEW!! ehh...hehh'kshHEWW!!" Snot dribbled down his chin, and as he went to grab a tissue in the living room, there sat a sleepy-yet-annoyed Sam. "I told you you'd gedt sigck!" he sniffled. "I'm no- not- si-ih- ihh- heh- Hnn'gtt! Gnk'gtt!" He tried to protest, but his sneezes just proved Sam's point. "It's just allergies." His face turned red with embarrassment. "Well now we're both sigck. I'm just gonna take more cold medicine, you should too." "I'm not sick! I'm still gonna take care of you, you're the- the- hhah- eh-  Ht'kshht! sick one!" Sam looked up at him with a deadpan expression. "You're literally sneezing more than me- he- hgh-  hnngxtch! Either way... we may need more tissues." He got up, wobbling. "You. Need. Dto. Resdt." He grabbed Jaiden's hand, leading him to the bedroom and motioning for him to lay down. "Resdt." He demanded. Sam dug through the closet, tossing 2 baggy t-shirts and pairs of basketball shorts onto the bed. "Will cuddles magke you rest and stop being so stubborn?" "Fine... Maybe." Jaiden blushed, changing into the clothes. 

Sam crawled into bed, burying his face in his boyfriend's chest. "Mmrph. My nose itches-" He tried rubbing it against his chest, but that just made it worse. "ghh- eh- hup'mtchw! hmp'chew! hmm'pshw!"He erupted into a fit of sneezes, muffled by the t-shirt. Jaiden tried to hide his blushing, but his face was bright red. Sam let out a breath of relief after the fit was over, his nose already red. "How are we gonna manage with two sneezy messes in this house?" he joked, looking up at Jaiden. "Listen I've bare-eh- ly hih- snee- hee-  Hh'itschGNX!" he stifled into the back of his hand desperately. "Sneezed? Suure." Sam replied sarcastically. 

Jaiden finally gave in to Sam's requests to take the medicine, and just like he warned, it made him incredibly drowsy. Sam snuggled up to him, even as he was too out of it to try to stifle. They drifted to sleep again, because even those damn cold sneezes couldn't overpower the POWER OF SNUGGLES!
