the sky was clear and bright blue. the sun was shining and the weather was warm. he could feel the joy in his stomach just caused by such a beautiful day.
they were going to have a picnic.
he gathered their things: a sheet to sit on, a basket to put it in, fresh fruit, cheese, and various veggies, chocolate, and their favorite book.
he was humming his favorite song, dancing along: he didn't know his boyfriend was watching. he cleared his throat and stood up from his chair. the other jumped at the sound and turned around, a blush very apparent on his cheeks. he just chuckled and pulled her into a hug. the other pulled away and gave him a kiss on his nose, then laughed and began walking out the door. he grabbed the basket and they were on their way.
his dress swayed with the wind as he made his way to the park. their arms locked together, it was impossible to keep the smile off their faces. they passed beautiful wildflowers, vibrant colors dotted against the green meadow. he stopped and picked a few for his lover. a dainty little bouquet in his hands he bowed down to the other and outstretched the flowers, he accepted them eagerly and placed them gently into the basket. when they got home, he had the perfect vase to put them in.
they arrived at the park and laid out their belongings beneath a large tree; it's leaves bright and healthy. they spent the rest of the afternoon eating and reading stories to one another. his head resting on the other's lap, both so in love.
