TW- self harm, abuse, having to be an adult

Virgil, out of breath and shaking a little walked into the bathroom, why had Logan turned the lights off. It's like he's hiding something, I should talk to him. They then grabbed some baby-wipes and cleaned themself up, as well as Logan and the bed. Should I talk to Patty? What if she's still- Virgil looked down, Logan was gone. "Paaaaatty~ where's Logan?" "I don't know love, is the window open?" "Yeah? Why would that- oh shit." Virgil remembered when they first moved in they'd both climb out the window to look out the stars, in truth Patty always knew but didn't say. Sometimes it was good to let the two sneak out or make their own shitty food.

Virgil walked down the stairs, "Patty, Ro, I'm going out, I think Logan's gone stargazing without me." "Ro-" Patty let out a small moan, "okay, I'll tell you two love birds when I get back." Virgil smiled a little, grabbed one of Logan's oversized shirts and a pair of their own bike shorts, a bag and slipped on a pair of platforms. I could walk past Patty's room or I could climb out the window. Another sound came from the other bedroom. Window it is.

Virgil went to the normal place to find Logan. Through the trees at the back of the house, around the flower bush that always bloomed and through another bunch of shrubs. That's where Virgil found Logan, sitting by the running creek, headphones in and back pressed against a rock. Virgil smiled at the sight, Logan was calm, yet worried. The hem of his jumper in his hands, the top of his boxers showing.

Virgil walked along the river's edge, purposely walking in front of his lover. "Hey." Logan choked though what Virgil could tell was tears. "You okay? You haven't sat at this rock since your dad-" Virgil sighed knowing they'd get nowhere if Logan couldn't speak. "I'm fine." Logan muttered bluntly, Virgil sitting down next to him. "Lo, I've known you for 4 years and have been living with you for 3 and a bit of those. I know when you're sad, happy, angry and now when you're horny. I'm just saying that it may be my turn to help you." Logan smiled and intertwined his hand in Virgil's.

"Stand up?" Logan asked, bringing his own body to the sky and reaching out for Virgil's other hand. "Music?" Virgil asked softly. "Always." the older boy said, making the same conversation from earlier in the night. They stood there, a slow song playing in the back. Their body's cold, but where they met their skin was burning with passion.

Logan's free hand found Virgil's waist as Virgil's found his shoulder. They stood for a second before they began to sway and dance slowly. "Can I kiss you?" Virgil asked, as they did everytime. "You don't need to ask." Logan whispered in the smaller person's ear. The kiss only lasted a minute or two but it said a lot of unspoken things. "Yeah I know, but you blush when I ask. Can I ask you something?" Virgil placed their head in the crook of Logan's neck. "Of course baby, anything for you." Logan pressed a kiss to his partner's head. "Why did you turn the lights off, while, you know." "Verge, I- I love you but, promise me this. If I tell you and show you, don't cry, don't be sad." Tears filled the duo's eyes. "Lo, it's not-" Virgil was cut off by the chilling air. Logan's body was gone, he pulled off his jumper and shirt.

Small red, pink and silver lines covered Logan's chest, arms. He then pulled off his boxers and more scares along his thighs revealed themselves. "Logan, how, how long? Is it my fault?" Virgil cried properly, this wasn't the first time Logan had seen them like this, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. "Oh honey, it's not your fault, most of these are old. My dad, he used to say stuff and told me to hurt myself, if I didn't, he would." Logan shivered and pulled his boxers on, then his shirt and jumper.

"I'm sorry, this is gonna sound shitty but I'm really fucking hungery. Patty and Ro are prolly finished now. Last time I was at home, they were very much not-done." Virgil would comfort Logan later, right now they both needed food. "And if they aren't, then we can make dinner, wait for them and eat together?" Logan grabbed the shorter person's waist and pulled them onto his front. "I'm still amazed you can do that," Virgil whispers, careful not to speak too loud in Logan's ear.

"And that dinner plan sounds lovely." Virgil continued their sentence. "Just like you, I think we should have spaghetti bolognese. It's the only thing I can cook without burning the house down." "Well hurry up then, we need to go to the shops and tell Pat and Ro where we're going." And with that the two, Logan carrying Virgil the whole way, walked home. Told Patty and Roman where they were going, got money and Logan some actual pants. Then set off.
